He deserved the nomination at the time they would’ve compiled it but objectively, never deserved to win it. All the nominees are just imo and Lampard is a clear winner.

Even Eckert and Clement, both have done good jobs but still don’t deserve to be nominated. In 2021/22 when Cooper took Forest from to 3rd and promotion via playoffs, he nor Marco Silva won MOTY - it was Luton’s Nathan Jones. Both Southampton and Norwich have the resources to charge up the table and they did.

For me, the narrative around Boro was jarring. The triumphalism around them overtaking us was annoying and it was presume they’d keep top spot. The signs were there that they wouldn’t; poor Xmas results and their home record was not as good as ours or Ipswich. In reality, the gap between the two teams was always substantial.
Whilst I think Lampard should win it, I think there's an argument for giving it to Jakirowic just for not giving up 6 points to Lampard.

On a serious note, he does deserve his flowers because Hull were expected to go down this season and he’s had them in the playoffs pushing automatics all season.

Neil and Jakirović have been the best managers outside of Lampard this season. That’s without the revisionism of Boro’s bottle job.

Maybe its because its Lampard..... but a non parachute team bossing the league doesnt get a mention... whereas content creators cum in their pants at Southampton and Ipswich... only a few weeks ago it 'can Sheff Utd make a play off charge? What a job Wilder has done!!'.... Lampard, Neil and Jakirovic have worked wonders...

Why?

You go to work (I assume), are you grateful that you get paid each month or are you entitled to it?

You buy something from amazon, are you grateful that they deliver it to you or are you entitled to it?

I'm not sure you understand what the word entitled means.

The word literally means to be awarded the title!! We win the title, we become entitled.

If you win more points than the other teams you should 100%, feel entitled.

Being entitled is not a negative, it's a product of success and people can feel it if they want.
Not in the final analysis no, but half way through a season being tops a different story, surely?
Sometimes you need to be able to read past the headlines. They totally dominated their last game as usual with Portsmouth only having 3 shots and 1 on target where they scored in the 97th minute. If they had won they would have been level with Ipswich on points.

Their 2 best players by far have been out injured for weeks. Where would we be now if we hadn't had say Wright and Onyeka since we played Middlesbrough? They don't have a goalscorer on the pitch and it shows. Lately they're averaging nearly 50 shots per goal. Do you blame the manager for this?

They are playing against a low block most games because of how strong their midfield is. We should all know by now how difficult it is.

Edit.

Next game for Portsmouth was against Ipswich where they got a deserved 2-0 win.
I think you have to question the prevailing thought on this that the use of both players across the season has been effective, they needed to change it, IMO.

I'd love to know the history of that Southampton debacle at their base, quite shocking all round, as some definite stirring of the pot their end I think?

He's doing down his own great work by saying that really. It's absolutely fuck all like the Wrectum story!
They’ve cheated their way up the league with ridiculous levels of spending, we’ve done it with various limbs tied behind our backs and for most of his time here Robins was working under owners who had stopped caring.

It had obviously turned sour near the end for him here but without the job he did in rebuilding the club, there would be no Lampard, there would be no day like today. A huge part of this is down to him.

Massive respect to Mark. He saved this club and I think we all know he somehow managed to get two promotions and within a kick of the PL. This is despite having a fraction of the finance that \wrexham have. He has to be ranked as one of the best managers in achieving results with very limited resources.

First of all we spent less money and didnt get an owner willing to through the kitchen sink at it, we had a tough time to get back made so much easier by the foundations laid by Robins, and King, Lampard and co built on those very foundations completing the rebirth of the phoenix that is our club
