There won’t be many excuses left about key players being tired for very long now we’ve signed two new wingers, Grimes and MVE have had two weeks off, Thomas and Dasilva have each served three match bans etc.

Add in Torp and BTA coming back, plus some regression to the mean for Wright and Rudoni and is it more likely that we’re a top-2 calibre team, or a relegation-calibre one?

Im just not used to being in this position , but the speed at which 13 points have evaporated has made me panic tbh

For me, the bargaining brigade are as irritating as the bedwetting ones.

We are still top at this point, but we have completely fucked up in the last month or so. That can still be sorted if we get our shit in order and start winning again. There's no doubt about that. Let's not pretend things haven't got a bit uncomfortable though.

Important to bear in mind that it hasn’t actually evaporated yet…
No but it's exactly why most of us was desperate to strengthen the squad going into January

Except you of course who was telling everyone promotion was effectively a done deal already with the squad we had and any additions were a waste of money.

Not what I said though, is it?

You said the squad we currently have got us into that position so why not let them finish the job didnt you?
I’ve also said we could do with some extra help out wide, which is what we’ve now got. If I’ve said that all signings are a “waste of money” then just show me the post.

We're in a good position regardless of what order we got the points in. We're not the best team in the league or certainly not the best squad but there we are at the top.
Everyone had us down as a play off team, if we get top 2 its an incredible achievement.
Yeah well said. Not liking the fans turning on the players as bottlers etc and using over achievement agaisnt them

Of course they have but it doesn't mean it's been a bottle job. We have had a dip but it's not been a piss poor run

Didn't someone post the dips of previous league winners and ours was one of the best pts wise?

That's assuming it ends today of course

Hasn't it been relegation form?

Its been pretty piss poor though.

Thought we played well Vs Brum other than sending for their goals. I don't think we're playing terribly.

Today will be tough. A draw will be treated as a loss on here but it wouldn't be end of world for me.

But really hope today is us getting back to winning ways

It is why I think a lot rests on today. It feels like a natural swing to me. Win and we are back on track and will start clearing teams out the way. Lose and we get sucked into the dog fight and then it is a case of how strong we are mentally.

I know it isn't as black and white as that, but we did have a massive lead that has now been considerably shortened.

Yeah agreed on all that but I guess where I differ is I don't see it as a travesty that this Coventry city side isn't gonna win the championship by a country mile with wins from start to finish

I'm as worried as most about the PTS gap shortening. Boros winner last night really annoyed me

Lots of these games are settled by fine margins which then make a big difference in terms of points. Personally hoping today we finally get a referee who knows what he’s doing.

Some generational bed wetting tonight 😂😂

Half way point of the season we're top of the league 8 points clear of second FFS 😂
Looks like your club has it's own particular bunch of bedwetters, much the same as we do🙄 "Would take the playoffs"?? As well as you still being favourites for top 2, they're virtually guaranteed for you anyway at the very least yet he would take scraping 6th right now, such is his fear of the likes of Wrexham overtaking you? What a whopper.

As for our own brand of these, one of our finest even stated that it was a big mistake hiring Hellberg when the game was at 2-2 last night.🤣

I'm happy enough with our game against the Baggies. We weren't at our best for it, but we've had plenty of games this season where we've battered the other side all over the place, yet lacked a finisher and drawn or even lost such games. Bad luck also seems to haunt us, so it's nice to have both these things flipped on their head for once. We were marginally the better side, but will take that against a team who whilst gash on the road, fare pretty well at home, kind of like a less well-stocked Birmingham.

Plus most sides that go up have to have games where they win when not at their best I suppose. It's nice too to keep that goalscoring run going, as I feel it may come down to GD amd even goals scored between us and Ipswich, so we need to redress that balance if at all poss.

Thought you'd win today tbf. You were just going through a standard wobble that every side around the top does, akin to ours?

It's just our wobble started a week before Christmas whereas yours didn't begin until after Boxing Day. Guess which side around the top (with 5 wins and a draw in their last 6 in all competitions) is due to have their wobble next...?😁

I fancy the game they have away at the Blades, followed by Preston etc could be when they inexplicably start playing like puddings or the strikers suddenly going off the boil may happen as those teams can you punish you if you do. Philogene getting injured may play into that too, but I still figure they'll have too much for Brizzle at home in the next game, even without him.

Seems they play every game at home, but got a month of away fixtures coming up. Hopefully those fixtures can do us both a favour.
