Look at Charlton, who have performed really well this season. Against Southampton they had several players out, their replacements were not good enough.
Good - let's hope they are still out next Saturday!

Dont think there is a great deal of difference between 3rd to 17th, all taking points off each other, on our bad days, we can be the same but have managed to turn most of those potential draws into wins which is massive.
Most don’t have squads to deal with injuries and suspensions, similar to us so it’s going to be interesting in the run up to Christmas.
If we hold on to 2 points per game average to Christmas then genuinely will have widened that gap even further.
I know we could slip up but don’t see any of them going on 15-17 winning runs, Ipswich and Southampton maybe the only ones with that potential.

Spot on.
A couple of quality signings, in specific positions in January, will help increase squad depth.

All these teams finding their feet, I keep looking at the last 5 games and we've taken more points than anyone, the gaps getting bigger so I hope they keep finding their feet and we keep leaving them behind.

One point shy of 2 ppg, and 85 goals scored in 45 games, so only 5 short of 2 goals scored per game.
Are we not entertained lol ?
Bristol 2nd best with 17 points less than us - Insane stats.

89 points across 45 games is amazing, especially given Lampards iffy start

Don’t know who the guy on Boro co comms is, but he’s fucking unbearable.
Neil Maddison (I think). Used to play for Boro. I actually thought he was alright, quite objective, saw quite a lot the same as I saw it. The ref in that game was absolutely awful though.

We have four very tough away games before Christmas. I'm reserving judgement on automatic promotion until the New Year but we'll have to completely bomb not to make the play offs.
Or you can see it for what it actually is.

4 of of our main competitors have a really hard home game against a side that's only lost 1 game all season. And in the game they lost they had most of their defence missing.

We could add a bit of reality to the situation. We're 10 points above Stoke in 3rd. We would have to lose all 4 games and Stoke win all 4 corresponding games to go above us. Can't see either happening.

It was the OTT bias. Every little thing Boro did was brilliant and it was totally inconceivable and unacceptable to him that they didn’t beat little Oxford.
