Giving away a penalty will have knocked marks off him. The mix up in the first half may have as well.

So record minutes of clean sheets for the club doesn't count obviously.

And 6 wins on the bounce don't count either.

It's team of the week not team of the season.

There's not much competition though.

Ipswich 11/10 second favourites. 12th place 12 points and 21 goals behind us.

Leicester only 9/2. 11 points and 22 goals behind us. Should have a points deduction and have a poor squad.

New Stadium

If anyone wants a laugh, or quite frankly have their mind blown, read this thread from Birmingham fans discussing whether they'll fill their 62,000 seater stadium.

Some funny comments include them having a 'similar' fan base to West Ham .

They would fill it most Saturdays in the Championship

It doesn't matter if they don't fill it because they can close the top tier and cover it with advertising. Or, give away fans 6000 tickets. 🫨

That they'll fill the stadium with Japanese tourists 🫠.

Why do they write stuff like this???

Not being built on where we were yesterday, or the yesterdays before.

Being built on where we’re going tomorrow and the days after.

Still far more coherent than anything that spews out of the Donald's mouth.

From Opta team power rankings - 71st currently - that's pretty impressive.

I think they've summed up how good it is in the next line after us.

The only one. Rushworrh was great, otherwise it was a bit of a ropey performance IMO

According to that we’d be mid table in LaLiga and Bundesliga!

My favourite one is from another thread, and I quote

"We all know the similarities between our recent journey as a club and that of Manchester City in the early 2000’s"

They have won League 1, currently sit in the bottom half of The Championship and even before their takeover, Man City had 8 domestic honours to their name and were a much bigger club than Birmingham will ever be

Yea despite man city becoming a joke to some in regards to attendances , theyve always been pretty well supported and have the 8th highest all time average in england

Some really weird players go to the Bundesliga and do well. I like German football but I can't imagine there is much difference in quality between the bottom half of the Bundesliga and the top half of The Championship.

We looked better than St. Pauli in preseason.

Wrexham (even if they've swapped a load of first teamers), look very average. Now Cardiff are winning, I'm hoping Parky brings on a load of subs that he was holding back, and they still get twatted.

I've been watching football for 50 years. I've seen the nature of the Championship and the unexpected results it throws up for many seasons ...

... yet here I am, settling like the average entitled Man Utd armchair fan, watching Wrexham and thinking "yeah these are awful we'll smash em on Friday"!

I've never been like that, amazing what a few weeks can do. I think I'd be completely insufferable if we'd had anything like the sustained success some of the big sides have experienced.
