I can't see Wasps putting money up to pay for this shitshow, I heard they don't have a pot to piss in, or is that just a rumour?? fwiw, I hope the c*nts go bust

Would think our game(s) not going ahead will actually put Wasps under more financial pressure. income for the Casino, bar, food & beverages, rent etc etc. Every cloud, but even then just ****ing ggggrrrrrrrrr

When a company was approached to sort the putch out this season they refused because of the financial issues around wasps.
we should sue the fck out of them for this and withold any rent until a new pitch is laid

Already having a packed schedule between now and the World Cup the last thing we need is rearranged games.
Its an absolute disgrace and surely damages will have to be paid if wasps cannot fulfil their obligations.

Stephen Vaughan told CoventryLive in March 2021: “...after the first season of Coventry City being here and the Commonwealth Games, we’re going to be laying an entirely brand-new pitch again. So we’re spending a lot of money to get the pitch right.”

He added: “Will it always be perfect? No it won’t. Because we have a couple of tonne of beef scrummaging on it every other week, but it will be as good as it can be.

“We’re not setting a precedent here, it’s done at other clubs, the Ospreys, it’s done at London Irish and Brentford, as well as Bristol City and Bristol Bears, but it will be done as well as it can possibly be done.”

This is an awful situation that we have found ourselves in. If the game is off then the game itself is the tip of the iceberg. So many fans inconvenienced, arrangements made and paid for, very poor from the games and we have been left high and dry. Surely contingency plans were thought of?

How desperate are Wasps / CCC that they had to have the rugby at a ground in Coventry under the banner of the 'Birmingham 2022' games. Should have told them to whistle and play it at St Andrews or Villa Park.

Villa turned it down as they didn’t want their pitch getting ruined ironically.

Cov will come out all guns blazing with this. We are the ones putting money and effort into it, Wasps have hardly touched the pitch in the last 6 months.

This was never going to end well. If we can't put our games on because of this malarkey, then that lot should be paying for it.

How long to relay a pitch before it can be played on?

Either ACL or Commonwealth Games need to get their chequebooks out.
Presumably a drop in pitch only takes a minimal amount of time but that of course requires a pitch being ready to go. I'm imagining that's not an 'off the shelf' item.
