And even if it’s playable it still might be shit

Complete farce! It wasn’t an idea scenario at all but they should have done what they did the first season we moved there - Have our first few games away to get things in order

I think what’s fair is once they get a playable pitch again wasps play their home grounds elsewhere for a bit so it doesn’t get ruined.

I’m saying Sudbury and about 100 years.

To be fair , they may well make us play the match .. because this could be an ongoing issue for a couple of months to be honest .

Didnt we agree to take joint ownership of the pitch with the rent deal.
I have read elsewhere that CCFC groundsmen are responsible for it, one of them has said you can only use the tools you are given.
Read into that as you please.
All cheap shit IMO.

Supporting this club can seem beyond difficult at times.

Tried to purchase 2 tickets last night, went thru it all and selected seats, moved to checkout but i had forgot my password ‘so they send email with new password.
Go to emails and no email arrives after 15 minutes session times out, so I go thru the whole thing again TWICE, and I still haven’t received an email they are a joke!!!

Hopefully the lost income is easily quantifiable and the contract covers that loss of cash flow.

The pitch was like this all the way across, when we played Gillingham on our return. Maybe the ref will just want to get on with it.

Due to the security lockdown for the CWGs they weren't allowed to get equipment in and out, it sounds like the lighting rigs weren't able to be used for the duration.

i originally thought weve played on a lot worse. I guess the problem is the ground is so hard that any bare parts are probably fairly dangerous. When weve played on poor pitches before the ground has been soft

What an utterly disastrous start to the season this could be. Feels like it could all end up in tears.

Looks worse than the old grounds ever did, Baseball Ground and Filbert St always were shit during the winter, with inches of sand on them but always looked nice at the start of the season. This is beyond belief in 2022.

Madness really.
we've known about the CWG's and rearranged concerts for long enough. And those criticising wasps (I'm far from a wasps supporter, but), even if we owned the stadium we'd have still formed part of the CWG's bid, so would still be in the same position, who would we moan at then?

Just play the game. Yes it'll hamper our play but we could very much do without rearranged fixtures even this early into the season. We've played on worse pitches in recent seasons too!

Just get on with it

When I saw the lighting rigs the other day they did look blocked in with all the commonwealth crap. The whole thing there has been a shambles.

Serious question/suggestion. Could the home game against Bristol City be played away (again it will be a 'lost income' scenario - but we reallly don't need that game in the rescheduled mix, and the overall impact financially should be minimal.

I reckon we will play ..

The problem we have is that the pitch won't be upto scratch for weeks , so why would they allow a cancellation ? They'd have to cancel all of August's games wouldn't they ?

Won't be much better v Wigan or Huddersfield either , will they be cancelled ?

We may or may not have took the games if we owned the ground. The point is that they have booked in concerts and CWG before the start of the season and done zero work on making sure the pitch could take it. From Robins comments the pitch should have been relayed this summer but it wasnt done

In so much as not knowing my password yes, but everything you do online requires a password, now I’m not a librarian and I don’t have a photographic memory so I often have to press the ‘Forgotten Your Password’ button, this usually results in an instant email with new login info.
3 attempts last night and still no reply.

This

Robins will be tearing (what little) hair he has out, he’ll be very apprehensive to play on it but ultimately it’s not his decision

EFL will know Rotherham have the potential to open a massive can of worms if the game doesn’t go ahead

I don't really get the whole: 'The pitch hasn't been relaid and I'm unsure why' narrative from Robins.

How is it the club has been so unaware of this until now?
