Fully agree. But it’s got us nowhere. Won’t we lose more by stadium hopping? Can we afford to wait for them to go bust?

Don’t give a fuck if we’re getting the money by selling the organs of orphans at this point. Just get the fucking games on and sort all that crap out later.

A bit poor taste on the marketing front there...

Something simple and fair in all this?

Absolutely not.

Look, I dunno. The way things are, it’s not gonna be sorted anytime soon. Feels like City grabbing the bull by the horns is the quickest way back.

If we get the said amount for this new dr

So you want us to roll over and kiss the arse of Wasps by spunking money for a pitch that we wont own or have any say in other events on it including rugby that will destroy it for football and pay them the full rent as a bonus

Exactly, if we pay the £500k for the drop in pitch it will be great for the football. When the egg chasers season starts it will be wrecked again in no time.

I don’t think it’s as simple as paying g for the pitch. We drop one in, the Rugby league/Union games in october rip it up - do we drop another pitch in?

Yes this is the point, if we are going to fund a new drop in pitch then it must be able to accommodate multiple sports. Otherwise it’s a big waste of cash.

What REALLY worries me is that MR might walk.
He is clearly very very pissed off
I pray that he won't .
He has a great relationship with our fans so I'm just hoping this will prevail and he'll stay for the duration

If it really means that much to the club to be in Coventry, why do I feel like they won’t take some responsibility, sort the pitch and carry on? I get that Wasps aren’t fulfilling obligations and why should we step in and sort it out? But we seem more focused on digging our heels into them and just not getting the problem sorted. Fans, players and Robins just want it sorted but with DB it’s just ‘they won’t sort it’, ‘we’ve offered to help but they’re not interested’.

Worried that the club will make the wrong decision and seek alternative venues instead of growing some and just sorting the fucker out.

I assume because as we only rent we legally aren't allowed to do anything without their agreement, otherwise they could sue us. Same as a person renting a house can't make changes without the landlord's agreement, sometimes for stuff as petty as redecorating.

can't it just be patched on the worst parts, centre circle and wings and then maybe look to do something during the W/C lay off??

Well technically Wasps only rent too, they just do it for a lot longer. It’ll depend what is in the agreement but from the sounds of previous ones I doubt it’ll be too lenient on what we can do.

Can we get a pitch we take up each week and let the lummoxes play on the beach they’ve put together? Do it like the sliding pitch but in sections, four fans on each at the end of the game onto the back of a trailer and back to Ryton to maintenance.

New idea

Buy about 500 indoor cricket nets
Roll them out back to back and side by side
Roll away at full time
Beach kept intact for the buffaloes to drink beer from each other’s cracks

I don’t think they can do much at this point we are in the season , it’s too late .Weeks or months ago they could have done so much more

Interesting to see the EFL view , if they back up they would not let us play away , then difficult to see sanctions being imposed

Cant see us playing somewhere else

The first problem is Wasps would have to permit CCFC to lay a pitch. They won’t do that because they know the cost will come back to them in the end, and they don’t have a pot to piss in.

Well it is tbf, i started to wonder whether this very public spat between CCFC and Wasps was to try and influence the actions of a public body

You would think so but a green fingered expert on here has said it takes about 9 weeks to lay a pitch seems long to me but ironically that takes us close to the Rugby League World Cup fixture due to be played there on the 21st of October.

It’s clear for all to see. This is now down to politics again. Sisu finally have the upper hand over wasps. Sisu don’t care about the football club. They want to get the ground and put wasps under at the same time. If that means it puts the club in this situation, then so be it in their eyes. It’s took them long enough but they now have the better cards and they will go full in with them

Don’t see it that way, we, ccfc, have little clout in this as I have just mentioned there is a Rugby League World Cup game due at the CBS in October. Between the RL & Rugby Union there is a lot of financial muscle and influence to make sure that World Cup fixture goes ahead and the CBS pitch and all is in tip top condition in fact that one fixture could provide a bit of a life line to Wasps. Don’t know if there are any other games to be played at the CBS but also there is a ladies RL World Cup tournament
& a wheelchair/disabled one all starting October.

He once said that CCFC were never any good at running a football stadium… I don’t remember not having a pitch to play on do you? I’m sure it was a tweet if you want to do some
