You would think he would be able to drop down a league or two.

Would be best for him anyway. Build his confidence back at a lower profile. No matter what we think of him, what's happened in the last year or two must be really tough for him.

Agree, if it was say £2/3m and then a load of promotion add-ons then it would make a lot more sense.
