a post without reference to Muslims, well done

I known in your warped world we should automatically win every game, but doesn’t tend to happen does it, and that doesn’t mean you should immediately drone on about how shit everyone in the team is.

Not enough goals - it is why we are 5th and not top. And games in hand don't convert.

Apologies.

We're going to win the league with 99 points. Godden to get to Golden Boot with 25 goals in his last 15 games.

Nothing but overwhelmingly positive opinions allowed!

Not even saying fall away, just not quite have enough in the tank for the autos

You are entitled to whatever opinion you have, just makes me laugh that you are seemingly always negative

I don’t think we’ll fall away. Simply remain in the position we have been for the majority of the season.

Ah ok. Would suggest we’ve got a good squad and good depth (she said). I get that goal scoring is the main ‘issue’. Is that the players or the system though?

I think it comes down to poor decision making when we get to the final third. When we get it right it looks brilliant but even then we sometimes miss a sitter. It's not a massive fault but I don't think we can finish in the top 2 with it in play

This is a good discussion actually. My thoughts are we don’t score enough goals or take our chances in the games and sadly this will (hopefully not) be are downfall. Is there better footballing team in this league absolutely not but goals win games.

Tuesday summed the season up so far for a brilliant performance all round but the forwards either don’t have that ability or not hungry enough to score.

Finish fifth and lose in the two leg play offs.

My worry is we struggle to score goals freely but the trade off is we are solid at the back

I’m thinking that if we had played our two games in hand and had got our approx 2 points per game that we have so far, we’d be second and one point behind Rotherham. I’m hoping we can gain that point (or 2 as their GD is far superior) in the remaining games.

Let’s hope I’m right and you’re wrong!

If we get 7-9pts in the next 3 games, it will be huge for us.

Right now, I think we’ll finish in the Top 3.

Yep. Feeling we'll finish 2nd behind Rotherham. If we beat them or Pompey, I'll be doubly confident.

Hopefully so. We have a season defining run of games to come and if we're in the autos after it then my prediction changes.

Top!!
I expect to carry on incrementally for the next 5-6-7 games .
Then like the promotion year ,cutting lose with the approach to more attack focused formation .
It's a marathon not a sprint and all that.
A late run I think is preferable to sitting top and fending off challenges for 6-7 games .
Anyway,dream over .

Next 7 games are season defining. Pompey, Rotherham, Sunderland and Ipswich, and three of the bottom six. Can’t afford to drop many points. All “must win” or “should win” games.

Once those are out the way, if we’re still in the mix for autos, then I’ll believe. Gut says we’ll lose at least 2 of the 4 against the top teams and drop into the chasing pack in the playoff places.

Yes!

who is there that is demonstrably better than us?

we have the same “shit” strikers we have done all year and it hasn’t exactly dragged us out of contention, has it?

There is one more factor.. Mark Robins- I like the way he doesn’t bow to emotion, you just know there is no loose talk of promotion in that dressing room, just one game at a time. I have massive faith in him and the team.

I understand every single reason everyone is saying, but for me if we keep mentally tough and don’t lose the run of ourselves then it’s ours for the taking. And there is no ‘arrogance’ in that, I’m a CCFC fan after all

Don’t be so fucking fragile....and have a context timeout.

No one’s lambasting criticism ffs. I took exception to a player being called ‘utter garbage’ (which btw is reasonably mild compared to some of the mindless insults hurled at our players).

Our players don’t become ‘shit’ because of a quiet game, a passage of play or even a fucking mistake.

You’re making this way more than it is

Similar thinking over here!

We’ve only lost once at home, so that ought to put us in good stead. You could argue we haven’t played the top teams at home yet. Which is true, but then again, with the exception of Rotherham, we didn’t lose to these teams away.

The fixture list hasn’t been kind to us here, but if we can get through it with only 1 loss, we’re looking very good value for automatics.

Season defining.

Second to third, hoping for first. Taking a minimum 7 pts from Portsmouth, Rotherham, Sunderland and Ipswich and win the game in hand we are in with a real chance of an auto spot. It is literally in our own hands, keep winning, even draws against all 4 of them means they gain no ground while we still have a game in hand, the key if not too obvious is not to lose.

I think someone already said similar, but one thing that will make a difference is if all the protesters, boycotters, conscientious objectors etc actually get their arses there to support them. I don’t fancy the idea of Sunderland and Portsmouth turning it into a home game for them.

A in form Leon Clarke or David McGoldrick we would run away with this division still feel we have enough to be top 2.
