Let’s be honest, if he had it all right now, we wouldn’t have signed him. He’s got talent and he’s in a good environment to develop that here.
All the pieces are there for us to make a massive profit from him. He just needs to tighten up some of his passing a bit and mature which will come naturally imo.
Agreed, I think some are over hyping him based on the hype that "real Madrid were tracking him" and the fee.
He is a bundle of energy, stron, physical ball winner but very untidy in possession, you can see why bigger fish haven't come in for him. Great flick for the Plymouth goal, the assist against Monaco was as good pass but a pass I would expect 99% professional footballers to make.
He looks like a younger version of Onyeka, a willing runner chasing and harrying, can occasionally carry the ball but very untidy in the basics. He's not a ball player., a pirlo / Anderson who is going to dictate play.
He is 20 and will improve, after watching in in 5 games, I think despite his deficiencies Onyeka is rightly ahead of him as he brings PL experience. I think Yirenkyi will be much better against tired legs too.
He needs to improve massively on the ball if he wants to be a £100m player. To say he's going to be worth £100m next season is just hyperbole.
Even those that know him the best say this is an area for development, especially in a faster paced league where you don't have time on the ball.

Again like Cherif he's here to develop, we need to stop piling on pressure of being POTS, £100m man, etc.
