Clean sheet. 5.5m saved!
Happens every time we go away midweek. Regardless of the location. Worst was Blackburn a couple of years back (when Wilson scored). Due to closures and diversions (and an accident along the diversion route) we didn't get back until after 3am. Nightmare.
Until Dovin is fit Lampard may want to carry 3 keepers and decided Bell isnt good enough
TBH, I'm in that frame of mind now. Have to take a day or afternoon's leave. Just too much hassle, particularly in the winter.I've decided to give up midweek aways, can't remember the last time I enjoyed one.
Having said that, I am tempted by Millwall in October
He'll probably be going out on loan again once the Rushworth deal is concluded (assuming the Daily Mail journo that claims the deal will be done v. soon is right).Bells only 20. It may be he thinks he isn't ready rather than isn't good enough
Some ridiculously negative takes on here from a friendly. The player who effectively made the first goal written off already.
What exactly does he bring? On what evidence youve seen is he lightyears behind Andrews on current ability?
And don't start saying "well Andrews is only 18 etc..." I'm talking about what they bring at this point in time.
He set up the goal, and put in two of the best crosses of the game LOLWhat exactly does he bring?
I've seen zero evidence that he offers anything different from any academy winger at U20 level.
Last night was an opportunity to really show what he's about, and he didn't do enough imo, in fact he looked confused with the ball at his feet on a number of occasions.
As I've already said, he's just taking a squad place up that we could use elsewhere.
Giving him a 4 year contract has left us with a problem, I'd suggest a season long loan in League 1 or 2 would be ideal.
looks to be the 3-1-6 system that Brighton's manager started where you vacate large parts of the midfieldPretty clear from the clips and the KKH goal that we're adopting that 3-2-5 or 3-1-6 formation when looking to play forward, full backs or wingers inverting.
He put a cross into the box that the defender somehow managed to bundle over the line for an O.G. when it was easier to clear. He set up the goal, and put in two of the best crosses of the game LOL
I can remember another couple. He put a cross into the box that the defender somehow managed to bundle over the line for an O.G. when it was easier to clear.
Is that what your opinion is based on?
he did more but okHe put a cross into the box that the defender somehow managed to bundle over the line for an O.G. when it was easier to clear.

Michaelwood services? I think half the SBA was in there!Yeah, we did the KFC - mistake, had indigestion all the way home - had to go off the M5 as well, added a good half an hour to the journey we got back at 11.35.
I think people are clutching at straws now.I can remember another couple.

You are basing your opinion on one game, fair enough, but at least dont make up the reasons. He did create a goal and provided other good deliveries. Nobody is claiming he is a first choice starter but to write him off based on that shows you are just using your own personal view and not what actually happened.I think people are clutching at straws now.
It's ok to say when you believe a player ain't going to make it here.
My guess is he goes out on loan for a season, and then (if he does ok) some lower league team takes over his contract.
Only just back, stopped for a KFC, came out, and they'd closed J12 to 11 on the M5. I swear im cursed. Every time I drive to a midweek away game, there seems to be accidents or diversions for roadworks.
Mmm - fans who cant make the game but still want to support the clubWho tf pays to watch football at home these days?![]()
I only have my own personal view! You are basing your opinion on one game, fair enough, but at least dont make up the reasons. He did create a goal and provided other good deliveries. Sorry yeah I meant its free for most people nowadaysMmm - fans who cant make the game but still want to support the club
Not disputing any of that but you said he wasnt good enough based on a half when he actually looked decent. Im confusedI only have my own personal view!
That's the only one I have.
And I can only make a judgement on what I've seen of him so far, (some cameos and a half against a L2 side)
But I can't see him displacing EMC or Sakamoto, or Wright or BTA, or even one of our wingbacks who would probably be pushed forward as a winger before Rapha would get a start.
So with that in mind, what's the point of him taking up a squad place?
As I've already said, he needs to go out on loan, and we need the squad place to bring someone else in
I thought you were on about whisky for a minute there!Bells only 20. It may be he thinks he isn't ready rather than isn't good enough
The problem we have is we seem to have quite a few who have an agenda and not saying how players are actually performing. Have a good game? Silence. Have an average game? Absolutely shite and we need better. Grimes has got less stick than all the others as he is a rock. But his best work is ignored and all he is supposed to be capable of is passing sideways and backwards. Got exactly the same playing for Swansea so it isn't just us.Difficult to be too harsh on them after what was essentially a warm up against weak opposition, but surprised at the negative responses on Rafa who I thought was quite bright. If I had to be critical then I thought Bassette and Simms were the most disappointing. The focal point of each half. Arguably we didn't create anything for them, but neither really ever looked a goal threat.
Haha! I think I was sat behind them.Seagull…I was standing in front of three screeching year 4 ‘super fans’
