My observations:

We still need a forward. We look so flat going forward still.
Allen; Bidwell, Binks, Lati we should look to move on at the first possibility.
team suggests Obikwu is out on loan.
Rapha, Bassette can both go out on loan also.
I’d be tempted to keep Andrews and use him in Allen’s role. He has the sort of physicality that becomes useful in the period where games come thick and fast. This could change if Bling gets his wallet out and signs this Venezuelan though.
Grimes, Torp mustard and must be the starting midfield pair with Rudoni
KKH looks good
So far tonight we've had Sauce, Gravy and now Mustard.

We've been peppered with condiment comments.

not saying it's not true but why was it announced as him "signing" a new deal then? Surely nothing would need signing if it was already agreed.
i think it's just an expression. a positive spin.
sound better than "shit, we're stuck with him for another year".

Because they aren't going to do a press release saying "Jake Bidwell has another year on his contract, we didn't want him to get this but its a clause in his contract"

I reckon BTA will be the striker off. Lampard clearly doesn't like him playing down the middle, and he's not good enough to get ahead of EMC and Wright on the left.

It's the only time I've ever been there
Me too - scarred for life... especially as I was in with the home fans, close to the away end. Got fucking drenched, abuse from own fans, suspicion from Brizzle fans (didn't know it was the family enclosure till I got in there!). Saw possibly the worst ever 'performance' from a full back ever (Dujon Sterling, who ironically did quite well for us) Not a great day!!

Pitch looks like it might be on a bit of a slope

By something different do you mean worse?

For me, I'd be suprised if he makes the first team squad this season, he needs a loan to get game time.
I'm honestly not seeing what makes him so bad?

He's much quicker than EMC and Saka from the few times we've seen him play, his delivery into the box was pretty good and he didn't look too out of place imo.

On the ball he looked a bit gangly and awkward at times, but sometimes that can be an advantage because it catches the opposition out. I'm not saying he's a nailed on starter but he looks like he could be a handy addition.

I think it is more about giving players minutes rather than selecting them in their favourite position.

No but they could easily do one without the insult lol

Plus if you read all of the articles from the time they're all written as if it's a new contract - seems a bit much for everyone to pretend.

Well at the time he was playing well, and they would want to positively spin it for interaction. I'm not sure its such a conspiracy.

The boxing day one was the real disaster, part of the bottoming out phase we went through from November 2016 to February 2017 when Robins came back. I think the L2 though technically lower in the pyramid was not as low as that season and some of the embarrassing defeats.

Missed first 30 minutes. What I saw for the rest of first half was so pedestrian. Don't see the point playing at that tempo when they were only playing 45 minutes, apart from Andrews. Might as well just had a training session. Not going to improve match fitness playing walking football.
Second half much better.
Seems mean to say but I was really disappointed seeing that Collins still being given game time.
Raphael looked okay. Nice turn of pace and lovely ball across leading to the OG. Simms I thought was very ineffective. Kelser Hayden looks a good signing. Grimes decent as ever and Torp was good. Andrews grew into the game and looked comfortable, albeit against an awful side. He looks quick and I would like to see him run at players a bit more.

Grimes, kkh, andrews and Brau stood out.

simms, bta, basssette still issue looking no nearer solving.

binks still too soft. Collins still a wreck.

generally too laboured, needs quicker ball movement.

on we go.

I thought Brau looks like he can cross a ball alright but later on tried to do a bit too much at times.

Agree about KKH and Andrews.

All ok though. Essentially just watched a training session.

Great to see so many City fans there. Well done us!
