Not really. Just putting us closer to where we need to be.

In reality I'd hope that those 5 wouldnt have more than 50 games between them a season

Kai Andrews and Torp were absolute sauce.

Rapha needs a loan big time.

The first XI is good.
The drop off to the second string is massive.

We should be looking to get rid and upgrade when the opportunity presents itself

us intelligent fans called the keeper issue and now the striker issue. Lampard clearly agrees with us. Nice to see we are on the same wavelength as an elite tactician.

In fairness Stevie Wonder could see the keeper issue

Really impressed with Andrews. Keeps it simple but can tell there’s more to his game. Impressive physical attributes…not to mention he’s just breezed through 90 minutes looking like he can play another 90.

TBF to him he's played not far off 600 senior games now, it might be the mileage showing especially given his position

Thought Rapha was quite good to be honest. Was quick and played some decent balls in.

He's definitely not a Sakamoto or a Mason Clarke but I think he can offer enough to be a decent option off the bench at least when we want something different.

Dominated second half…much fresher than Bristol as game developed. Not a bad run out or performance. Bassette needs to go on loan. Will Lampard use Andrews as back up or send him on loan? If Milan off will Raphael be used as late sub as tats tires? Need an extra CB as I can’t see Binks being used by Frank.

Why?

A good training exercise. Kept control of the ball most of the time. Good goal by KKH from a great long ball by Grimes. Andrews has well improved with his loan spell. Hopefully we keep him for the season ahead.

My observations:

We still need a forward. We look so flat going forward still.
Allen; Bidwell, Binks, Lati we should look to move on at the first possibility.
team suggests Obikwu is out on loan.
Rapha, Bassette can both go out on loan also.
I’d be tempted to keep Andrews and use him in Allen’s role. He has the sort of physicality that becomes useful in the period where games come thick and fast. This could change if Bling gets his wallet out and signs this Venezuelan though.
Grimes, Torp mustard and must be the starting midfield pair with Rudoni
KKH looks good

Wasn't it one of those where number of appearances triggered the extension?

I thought he did well, he's a different option to Saka as they're inclined to turn different ways to get a ball in. Good for him to have a decent run out.

By something different do you mean worse?

For me, I'd be suprised if he makes the first team squad this season, he needs a loan to get game time.
