That aspect of the post I actually agree with. The players largely know how to play a 4231 - it isn’t a world away from the current formation. The key was that if we persisted with 4231 and hung our hat on Bright coming only to
Let’s just hope we get him, I’m sure we’d manage to fit him in somewhere.

That was partly a problem last season. I remember against Oxford thinking that for all his skill he was often in places where those skills were not at their most productive. With his bright green boots your eyes were drawn to him, but the output was very mixed
Thats my thinking on it, i just remember seeing how good he was last season but while individually he could make things happen as a team theres times i was frustrated watching him

He doesn’t work in a 4-3-3; positional sense and discipline aren’t his strong points. However, I think we unanimously agree he’s extremely talented and is without question a game changer in L1. I’m confident we’ll challenge anyway; he’d increase that confidence even more.

While we’ve set up 4-3-3 so far this season, I think MR would revert to 4-2-3-1 if we signed Bright. He’s the sort of player you build a team around in L1. Plus, 4-2-3-1 is a lot easier to learn and play to than 4-3-3 in my opinion, so shouldn’t be too difficult for players to revert to. It could also explain why MR hasn’t signed another CM this year, as the longer term plan is to only play two. Maybe hopeful thinking, but why not!

Maybe this rumour of Conor Coventry is just a case of hedging our bets? If Bright comes, we move back to 4231 and have sufficient cover in CM. If he doesn’t, we may need an extra body if we’re staying with a 433.

We’ve played 4-3-3 because Bright isn’t here and we don’t have a number 10. If Bright signs, we’ll instantly go back to Robins’ preferred 4-2-3-1.
100% times on Saturday Zain would be further forward where bright plays no doubt we will be 4231 if he signs. We are playing 433 as we don’t have a number 10.

I'd hope we're looking at playing at least a couple of different formations over the season and putting out the best team to beat the opposition. Having 433, 4231 and 442 in your arsenal is no bad thing.

The good thing about switching between 433 and 4231 is it only really affects the midfield two who should be fairly comfortable with the change.

If we reach 5pm and Bright hasn't gone to a Championship club like Birmingham then atleast we know we're probably only competing against our own division...Unless he goes to Europe.

I'm not reading anymore in to that other than its not far for him to travel and he didn't have a game so came to watch his mates play.
Was it even 100% him I've read conflicting things? most of it has come from the forum/twitter and then i know the CT jumped on with click bait headline of 'Bright saw in hummel tracksuit signing contract with Robins in scholars garden". But when it was first reported in here two people claimed it wasn't him saying it was one of the current players family. Maybe someone had a Andre Marriner moment.
