No it isn’t we need points on the board

Nah, we need momentum and with them out the way we have a better chance of gaining some.

The result was expected, although I'd have hoped for a bit more from a few of the players in all honesty. Losing Hamer for the 3 games we have coming up is a disaster though, fucking idiot.

It’s not a disaster, we would have lost the next 2 games anyways, even with him. We could’ve done with him in the Blackburn game though, but hopefully we can get a point out of that.

Yep ref has to make a decision if hamer flies to the floor

Yep. Clever player doesn't react and goes to the floor holding his face, not reacting by raising his hands to the opponents face.

Wonder if they'd researched he was a bit of a hothead and told to get him worked up so he'd react.

What’s your take on Sheaf?
A little bit Ben Stevenson so far and glad it's just a loan right now! A little overweight, lacking a proper pre-season and not match fit. Can see there's a footballer in there though. Hope he'll get better with games. He needs to. If he's got the right head on him that'll be a wake up call - he's not an Arsenal U23 player any more and he's not swanning about in L1. Time to step up and show he's going to have a career at the right end of the pyramid.

They didn't even have to get out of first gear to comfortably beat us. Most Bournemouth fans on social media calling it their most comfortable win in years. Yes, they're obviously a much better side than us, and I don't mind losing to good sides if we play well or at least give a good account of ourselves, but that was dire tonight.

Give us £100 million and a tycoon as well

No all that getting played off the park will do is demoralise them for the more winnable games

Nah, Hamer is going to be out for them as well. Get them out the way and we should till be above relegation and ready to kick on. The season will have naff all to do with our results against Bournemouth Brentford and Swansea

No doubt they were far better but in no way could that have been 7-1. They didn't have that many clear chances.
Two were cleared off the line, Marosi had to make some good saves as well, that header in the second half, for instance. Although, O Hare did hit the post. They did have many clear chances, let’s be honest.

Lot of time for him and I'm not on his back yet but I hope the loan obligation to buy clause wasn't 'starts against Bournemouth'

Absolutely. Don't know if anyone's mentioned but their squad cost £91m and ours cost £2.2m

£92m was just tonights starting lineup Their squad cost more like £150m.

Massive gulf and it showed but thankfully there aren't going to be many sides that strong this season.

I don't believe that for a second

Bournemouth don't have fans. They must have picked up some Chinese kids in the last few years or something.

The lack of pace and strength against qpr was alarming yet we got through it. Again like then we took 35 mins and a goal down to wake up.

We lost 3 games all season we should remember that. We treated today as if we were leaguue 2 cov getting an fa cup tie against real Madrid elite world 11

Press or not press passing was disgusting tonight

We’ll see DOD but I think all it will do is dent confidence

Mate when's the 3 year date for the FGR defeat at home?

Around about the same time. Which is why I find it incredulous that 3 years on and 2 promotions later people are moaning about a loss to a team in the premier league last season

Not for me. a clear chance in my mind is a missed sitter or 1 on 1 save. We defended well, they scored two screamers and a well worked goal. Could have been more but wasn't an onslaught. They moved it around well and were in control but wasn't like they peppered us

Well the Sheaf vs Kelly, Shipley vs Allen debate is for nothing. None of those 4 players is, purely by their inclusion, making a flying fuck of difference to that result. The key tonight was that they pushed our wingbacks backwards, made them defend and so we played with a flat back 5 for much of the game with 2 sitting midfielders. It left 0 outlet.
It invited an already very good team to play 15 yards higher up the the pitch and have the run of the middle of the park and they can be 100% confident that a lone striker with Godden's pace is never getting in behind. Godden's a dynamite finisher but he's not going to occupy a Premier League defence and we had absolutely no-one breaking lines tonight because we're too busy defending.

It sounds counter productive when you're getting battered but I felt we needed to sacrifice a centre back for another striker. You've got to force these teams to be more cautious by making them worry about getting caught too high up the pitch as a team, so that they sit deeper. Then you can get a foothold in midfield and start to get into the game.

Be the first team to try out a a 4-2-2-2 formation.

The third goal was avoidable the bottled challenge cost us the goal was a good hit but wouldn't call it a screamer to be fair
