Clubs rarely bid for players these days unless the players agent has given them clear encouragement to do so.
When I wax growing up it was common place for deals to fall down due to personal terms after a fee had been agreed. Now it rarely happens. That’s the reason … agents broadly agree personal terms and once that looks fine the club are encouraged to bid to get the deal done …,
Im not suggesting they don’t …. But clubs rarely bid unless the players agent has encouraged them to do so ….

Doesn’t seem to be pushing for a move away here
It doesn’t mean anything does it ?? Could just as easily be a comment on his final match for Cov and his affection for the fans …..

Not surprised, when Hamer eventually leaves they are a very average championship squad. Would be similar to when we had to sell Hyam.Doesn’t seem to be pushing for a move away here
Sheffield United are skint. Yes they have sold players but they have debts to fund too.
Brave call ...........I would say it’s 50/50 which way this will go
The issue has been how much the last owner is owed, and is due, in regards to selling players and the parachute money. I have heard that the previous owner will be taking 85% of monies owed as he invested massively for them to get to the premier and trying to stay there. They actually, as it stands now, have to sell to create money to spend. Their biggest problem was the excessive salaries players were given last year which was three times bigger than our salry structure and was literally counting on promotion, which hasn't happened. This year they need to win promotion or they will have a massive problem on their hands because of the pay structure. No they're not. They've got parachute payments , relatively new owners and made a profit in the last available accounts to June 24.
Agree that this year is crucial for them. As I understand the situation it remains unclear what is yet due to the previous owner . Figures that i've heard suggested vary hugely. I am also led to believe by a number of Blunts fans that the club are ready to invest significantly in new players . Hamer is likely to leave due to his wages and the fee would command. the intention would be to reinvest all of that on players. The issue has been how much the last owner is owed, and is due, in regards to selling players and the parachute money.
