Is the Birmingham/Villa rivalry the most one sided in British football? In terms of two clubs that are so significantly different in terms of success, fan base, ground size?

Can't think of any close really? The Manchester teams in the 90s maybe but they've evened out now.
I think the Manchester Derby still is 1 sided from a fans perspective. You ask most Utd fans which team/fans they hate most and still today they'll say Liverpool.

They would say Coventry/Villa as soon as you said one sided.

Forest and Notts County or Stoke and Port Vale for the sake of your question.

The more I read from Internet posts and social media makes me think Villa fans were actually not that bad. They’ve won titles and a European Cup and a footballing reason to think they’re the best in the midlands….and then they have scrotum club fans like Birmingham and West Brom on their case that’s whole support is based on ‘we hate Villa and they care about us’ and they’ve won one League Cup (BCFC) and no trophies whilst colour TV has existed (WBA).

Coventry/Villa isn't one of the main rivalries. Neither is Forest v Notts County

Port Vale/Stoke is a good shout but then Stoke haven't won much themselves.

Villa have a huge trophy cabinet including European trophies. Birmingham have won just the League Cup. Huge difference.

To be fair, blues have won the FLC twice (first time beating Villa in a two legged final)
They were also the first English club side to play competitively in Europe and also the first British club side to reach a European final.
So they have got 'something'.

Not even close to what Villa have achieved.

You're saying it it looks very likely Birmingham will get promoted, after 4 games when they're 10th in the table??
Calling anything except Ipswich to get promotion is a bit premature. The table now and in a couple of months will look totally different. Most clubs had a big turnover of players that need to settle in. Many won't.

I prefer to wait until the 10 to 12 games point. Then you also have the manager merry go round that comes into it. We're just a couple of games away from it starting again with Selles most probably being the first one out.
