The planning shows the sports bar taking up the full space of the shop. the ticket office was what off to the right of the shop. you would think thing would also go.

2 small ticket windows would not be enough. No idea where else you could put a shop and ticket office. Unless you use the other side. But for football thats the away end.
There is an identical space to what was the club shop on the other side but it is, or at least was, in use as office space. But as you say given where away fans go it would have made more sense to keep our shop on the side it was and Wasps to put theirs on the other side.

Can't find a peep on Drunken Wasps forum and has the Once a Wasp forum been disbanded (moved to Facebook only?)

They do some decent food in there now. In the summer they put on a little buffet of chicken tikka (on a sizzling platter) etc. Superb it was.

Apologies to The Wheatsheaf. Last time I was there used to soak up the beer with their cheese batches! Always before games; never been after a match. Upped their game, fair play.

That none of the actual parties have commented makes me optimistic. Feels to me that they’re under a confidentiality agreement and have an agreed time that they’ll go public.

Over the years disingenuous people have made the Ricoh a fucking curse. I may not believe there’s going to be a new stadium but I pray to Robins there is

If it's all true it's got to be better than playing at St Andrews, surely?

Irrespective of all the shit that's gone on over the years and ignoring the fact Wasps 'own' the stadium, we're hopefully going to be back playing in the stadium that was built for us in the short to medium term.

As for the long term future.... who knows, kay sera sera and all that jazz.

Other rugby and football clubs in England coexist quite happily in the same stadium, it's up to all parties to work together because there are few, if any, alternatives. There have to be compromises because that's what life is all about and we have to work with the hand that's been dealt to us. Fact.

Then it's time for local businesses to get its act into gear around The Ricoh and make Holbrooks and Rowleys Green an attractive place to be before and after the game. I don't subscribe to those that complain it's out of the way, it's too difficult to get too, it's souless, it's this, it's that. HR was not without its faults. Is there a stadium in the world that is perfect for everyone all of the time or even for some of the time? I very much doubt that.

Most new stadia in England have been built on the outskirts of towns and cities but in time restaurants, pub and other attractions have been added and what was a lone stadium in the middle of a field miles from anywhere can and has become the centre of a lively hub.

Coventry City Council need to work alongside both CCFC and WRFC for the benefit of the citizens of Coventry (I wish) and develop that part of the city to make it a place to be rightly proud of and to be seen in.

But then I can continue to dream and remain in my world of Utopia.

Could it be exit plans for SISU to put the club on sale whilst we still in the Championship. Probably get more for the club with a longer term stadium contract and whilst still a Championship club. Who knows ?

In time we will see where its heading.

And to think some Wasps fans are waiting for the seat colours to change, when they're not even willing to get the pressure washer out

3 things I've learned from this thread.

1) People seem to spend a lot of time on the boards and forums of people who dislike them. (Both sides) which is some weird form of masochism.

2) Promotion didn't unify us

3) Sensible discourse is futile when it comes to where we play.

How young are you? Maybe it was more years ago than I remember. Judging by some of our passing perhaps they should compete against joe public for the prize.

I remember Blues away (I think) where the half time entertainment was people trying to kick a dead ball from the half way line into a shed without a roof in the penalty area.

I think if you got it you won a shed (with a roof).

To put into context how long we've been away in football terms only 6 of the 20 players in the squad on Tuesday have ever played a game for us at the Ricoh.
