Surely deserves a thread and some praisefor his consistently good performances this season? He's proving to be an excellent signing.

Defensively he's been very good. Just wish he could beat a man and not have to check back so much.

I'd describe him as an excellent LWB for this level, showing why he's been in so many play-off teams before joining us.

You could blindfold about a 3rd of the fans during the 1st half and they would come out at half time saying Bidwell was shite.

May not be a Rolls Royce but, using a common phrase around these parts, he's at the level.

Dabo beat his oposing number several times last night, just lacked quality when playing the ball in.

People are obsessed with "beating a man" like Dabo does.

It's all well and good but Bidwell already has the same amount of assists as Dabo has at all in the Championship. Same when Kane played.

Not a popular opinion but if fit Kane should play ahead of Dabo at fault again last night for their first goal.

We may as well use Kane while we have him on the books. Too many big earners not involved throughout the team right now.

Bidwell is decent, everyone kicks off cause he doesn’t maraud forward like Dabo but forget he does his primary and most important job very well, which is defending

Kane was responsible for loads of goals conceded last season, switching off and letting players running off him. Pretty sure that's part of the reason Robins doesn't fancy him anymore. We know Dabo takes time to get into his stride, but once he's on form, he's better than Kane easily.
I thought Bidwell looked alright last season, a decent, tough full back. I agree he looks more of a left back than wing back, but seems to have loads more energy this season, getting up and down the line. He's put in some great crosses this season (Godden's goal against Millwall)
Maatsen looked like a winger playing at wing back last season. He was exciting going forward, but I don't remember many crosses that lead to goals.

Bloke behind me was slaughtering him at any opportunity, I swear some people just don’t initially take to a player and that’s it

Did it twice in the second d half last night, left the defender on his arse on one occasion.

Bidwell along with Sheaf are up there for player of the season so far for me.

Dabo is much better than Kane and after a shaky start last night really stepped up. Second half was strong in the tackle and had some great runs second half directly in front of us. Let's not forget last season he was injured and then filling in at CB & LB neither of which worked. This season ots all been disjointed stop start, when we're playing regularly and if he keeps fit with a run at RB, then he'll be fine again.

A couple of times there was a decent cross but can't legislate for poor finishing.

Bidwell consistently beats his man by running behind them off the ball. He's way more of a threat going forward than Dabo on the other side. Better defensively too.

He does check back a lot. But that tends to be when he's given man and ball, or when the pass is inexplicably onto his right foot therefore sending him back towards goal. He's the least of our concerns.

Well on one occasion it resulted in a decent cross the other a poor one.
Not defending Dabo, just pointing out a facts, but overall I agree, we don't get enough from him

He also seems incapable of staying fit when he has to play two games in quick succession

Totally agree, I thought he looked ok last season when he was still obviously finding his feet and settling in.

He may not look as dynamic as Dabo running forward with the ball but his delivery and end product is better and his defending is too.

One thing I picked up on last night from Bidwell was his organisation of the side particularly on set pieces.

Experience like that is invaluable to such a relatively young back like, he’s made massive improvements on last year and hopefully we will start to see the proper player Robins signed.

I think he will do a job at left sided centre back too. Hopefully we wont need him there. Panzo done very well.

Take out the goal keeping howlers the defence would appear to be alot better.

Millwall away we bossed until moores Brain fade. Probably would have won at Sunderland and Hull without Moores bowlers too.

Weve been worse than I can remember for a long time on crosses, both stopping them in the first place and winning challenges in the area. Panzo and Doyle (as well as a couple of others) have been done too easily with simple one twos or balls in behind as well, and lots of ball watching.

We’re very very poor defensively, we just have to hope we stay in touch until Jan and can bring someone in.

Hes deluded. The form has been declining for months - we are barely averaging a point a game over the last 40

Dabo just needs to learn how to head a ball and the opposition will not score, twice now he did not head the ball clear and it gave the opponents clear shots on goal

Bidwell quality full back, fits better in a flat back line but he can deliver a ball far better than dabo.
