Have a feeling Biamou might be out for a while.

Is JCH going to get his chance in the target man role? It's a bit worrying we have about 7 other strikers but none of them can really win a header.

The style of play is going to have to change massively.

There's no doubt that on ability I feel JCH is our most gifted striker. However, his attitude has set him back whilst he's here.

For the U23's on Monday he showed why he did alright in the Championship. Same against Brighton in the Cup, he didn't look out of place against them.

If he is out hopefully it forces us to play differently. I’ve said before I don’t think we will know our best line up or formation until we stumble upon it due to injuries or random experimentation mid game.

JCH posted on Instagram, either story or a post I can't remember (in case anyone that goes to check it), that I screenshot that said 'I can't wait until I bounce back from everything I'm going through right now'. I think someone said his Aunt died, so I'm guessing he's being left out due to his current mental state and not having the pressures of playing first team football

JCH is a rough arsed type centre forward with aggression and if selected should be played that way, straight down the middle, he’s no good down the wings and needs a partner.

JCH needs to take the opportunity. He has disappointed so far to say the least. I also do think Bakayoko was a panic buy.

These are the two transfer that disappointed me. I hope at least one of them proves me wrong.

We would need to adjust our style of play to suit him, he isn't the sort to be winning headers.

He is strongest in the channels or when he gets the ball to fit / chest to be able to do something with it. No point aimlessly hoofing it up, you can tell he gets pissed off by it as well.

What did Biamou’s injury appear to be?

JCH is a target man more in a Regis style rather than the Dublin way, but most fans seem to want a Dublin style dominant in the air but not mobile type

If it was going to be JCH he'd be on the bench for moments like Tuesday. He's not so it'll be Bakayoko milling about watching the ball get headed back into our area.

It was weird, landed funny after a header and was holding his knee / shin.

Looked pretty bad though.

I don't think it's really about what the fans want, it's more how Robins keeps playing.

I'd like to see JCH get a run of 4-5 games. Cold hard facts are that we haven't scored from open play yet in 4 games.

I'd rather see us change to a system that doesn't play one up front.

Agree with that no way is JCH a lone striker so if selected it’ll be interesting what the formation is. We now have an out and out winger in Luke Thomas and link strikers to choose from

Clarke Harris is easily the best forward at the club. He is the only one who looks to have any instinct or movement in the penalty area. He has reasonable pace as well. Its absurd he is being left on the sidelines

I believe we could extend that to 5 games come Saturday,If Robins persists with playing a lone striker, that will be his downfall and Bakayoko isn't that man

How can the Strikers make an impact when they are either being played out of position or as a lone striker being isolated.

He is a proper centre forward and should be played as such and from the start of a game and not as an impact sub

That's fair enough
He just needs to decide whether he's a footballer or a gangsta

JCH is the best of what we will have left if Biamou is out. I disagree with some above and believe he can play on his own up top. He is better than Biamou at running the channels, which is why he always seems to be whipping crosses in even when played centrally, we would just need to make sure he has support arriving pretty soon after.

Is this a gut feeling?

He did look in a lot of pain when he went down. You just knew that was game over for him on the night.

I did fell Robins was holding back when asked about his injury.

Let's hope the scan is just precautionary, And nothing serious shows up

IF Biamou were injured for any length of time it could end up being the blessing in disguise JJ and TA's were last year, in that it forced MR to switch to another system. I'd say Biamou is the only striker at the club really even remotely capable of the lone striker role - although not the tallest he will battle and compete which none of the other really look like doing.

They all look like they'd suit being in a pair (although which pair wold be best I really don't know but I'd say one of Bakayoko and JCH partnered with one of Hiwula or Ponti. The extra forward would either then force one of the DCM's to be pushed a bit further forward and become more of a diamond (which has its own problems) or to go more like we finished last season with more of a 4-4-2.

However at the moment I can see MR persisting with JCH or AB as that lone frontman purely because of their height and Hiwula stuck out on the left being wasted. It took him quite a long time to do it last year and we had months of Kelly playing far too deep because of it. When he got more freedom he was a totally different player, as with Bayliss while he was out.

Just a gut feeling, a bit worrying when nobody tackles them and it happens.

You say that, but he didn't look anywhere near likely to score at the back end of last year and was rarely getting himself in the box, which is why Biamou pushed him out the side in the end. Scored just 2 from open play in 17 league appearances. The decision to re-sign him was a poor one.

Can't see AB starting for a while
To be subbed off after coming on as sub says all we need to know about how Robins feels about his performance

I think JCH with Hiwula up top could work, we just need to then play to their strengths rather than just hoofing it.

Either of them up front on their own is pointless.

It's not like he was subbed after coming on in the second half though. He practically started the game.
