Oggy, Pearce, Peake, Gillespie, Nilsson, Hutchinson, McAllister, McGrath, Dublin, Keane, Bennett.....Subs Flowers, Davenport, Babb, Boateng, Huckerby.......seems a decent Matchday squad

Yep, then we'll have one for the worst player at every position.

It depends on the formation you're going for. If it's 5-3-2 with wing backs I'd say Froggatt. If it's a 4-4-2 I'd say Burrows. 90s.

We've had some decent options over the years at LB. Pearce was a superb player but we only had him for 50 games or so and he became a top player at Forest. So for me, based on CCFC performances, Chris Cattlin is the only possible choice. 60s, by the way.

Started watching city 60s

First left back was dietmar bruck...always thought he was a dependable defender but not unbelievably good

Downs will always be remembered fondly...he got no hair but we don't care

Pearce had such potential...fulfilled at forest and England

McDonald and even fox deserve mentions

My vote though is for catlin...all you need in a full back. I really thought he would play regularly for England.

You are right about Cattlin not getting capped unfortunate to have the great Ray Wilson around at the same time and then Terry Cooper

Also, I'm assuming we put the decade we began supporting Coventry? I was born early 90s, but never really began going up until early to mid 00s.

Merely mentioned I thought he was not bad. Didn't realise I had suggested him for anything ;)

On the basis he stepped up from non league to top flight (and effortlessly too), got to be Pearce. McDonald a very close and fine 2nd...

Pearce was quality but as stated wasn't here that long. I go for spider who is still a big fan of the club. Marked Best out of the game on his debut and I used to enjoy his spats with Harry Redknap Vs West Ham. There was a campaign to 'save our Spider' before he moved on.
