As somebody said earlier he is quick off his line. Penalties came as a result of that plus side. The first one was a joke. The second one less so but still questionable. I would imagine that the defence are very confident in him.

If you watch replays of the second one, it was a penalty all day long. In reverse we would have been furious if we’d not been given it.

On a side note, the club are obviously pushing him at the moment. Front page of yesterday’s program and this from inside;

So you prefer camp who hasn't played all season to replace a guy who has only conceded 3 in 3 games, 2 of which were penalties?

Might be worth pointing out Wilson hasn’t played all season either

Do you think Camp is just sitting at home eating crisps on the sofa waiting for a phone call? He would have been training and likely would have a personal coach to keep him ready for any opportunities that would arise like most of the pro’s do

Wilson has played the last 3 games and a full pre season. Camp hasn't. All the city players hadn't played for 6 months and we were told it would take time to get fit yet you think camp suddenly is match fit?

He’s done ok but he spilled an easy catch at nil nil and if someone was around the spilled ball could have been a different game. I’m sure he did it again in the first half at some point as well he just came out and got nowhere near the ball.

A more than adequate no2. Nothing more-nothing less. Has stepped up well so far and long may it continue.

Fine lines in football. In another world yesterday he's dropped two near post catches for tap ins and given away a penalty

I can only assume those calling for Lee Camp have never actually watched him play.

Bit silly as he’s played 500 games at this level and Wilson 3

His kicking seems very good too...not kicking it into touch and throwing suicide balls to defenders

We protected him well yesterday. It's a game by game thing with him at the moment.

Over a period of 18 years yes. He's well past it now though, was dropped by Birmingham last year after a catalogue of howlers & they preferred to start this season without a senior goalkeeper on the books rather than retain him.

Amazing isn’t it football fans, through an injury a player, a goalkeeper, comes into the team that was lets be honest doing just enough to keep out of the drop zone has one of the worst defence records in the division he let’s in just two penalties one a joke the other a maybe maybe not, helps us pick up much needed points looks vain and assured to me and he’s criticised, some in a veiled way, but still criticised, “he fumbled a cross” ffs. God help him when he gives a cheap goal away which will happen.

The penalty yesterday was a stick on. He hasn't done badly enough to be dropped at all though.

He worries me he’s had luck on his side at times,I felt it was a penalty tbh I’m putting it down to getting upto speed, his distribution is good.Credit to him tho he’s done what we’ve needed fair play to the lad.

Hence why I said last year.

He was dropped after gifting goals against Leeds, Derby, Wigan & Fulham plus numerous other mistakes which fortunately went unpunished.

They only had a rookie backup & he made errors as well so Camp was reinstated for his experience but replaced when season ended.

Thought the penalty at Norwich was harsh but the one yesterday was probably a pen. I imagine most on here would have been fuming had the same foul been committed on one of our players and it not given.

100% a pen clear as day he caught him high above the knee

Fumbled a bit yesterday, against a better team they would have capitalised on some of those mistakes. I think because we won he keeps the shirt but I wasn’t impressed. Would prefer to see Camp playing who is more proven, more experienced and is probably less shaky. Nerves appear to be showing in Wilson’s performance yesterday in my opinion

As if Camp should come in just like that, besides which,Camp's meant to be a bit of a clown keeper anyway - this plus the fact he's not played means he stays on the bench definitely for me

I agree. But it's the almost certainty that that happens to our player and it's not given. Consistency.

To be fair, if an outfield player does that he's probably getting sent off for dangerous play. He jumped in high with his foot up. But keepers get away with that. Same as when corners come in and they just push an attacker in the back. Anyone else does that it's a clear pen.

The spill for Wycombe's disallowed goal followed a lot of flapping and flailing at crosses. I can't see him retaining his place with any more performances like that.

Spilled that ball. Despite bbc report saying it was a fine stop, I beg to differ.

We are protecting him incredibly well and it's a credit to Wilson and the team that we're on this run. But yeah... I like his confidence but today was slightly iffy

Agree.

He hasn't really had a save to make last couple of games. Can't think of one.

But he got away with a pretty routine claim today. Linesman spared his blushes.

He hasn't done too much wrong. But would understand taking him out of firing line at the moment.

His kicking and distribution has been good tbf.

Think the issue was he didn't have many shots to deal with and probably switched off near the end.

This is it. A goalkeeper can't. As it inevitably costs you a goal.

It's hard to say how Camp would do instead without having seen him in training. I don't see Robins dropping him though until he has a horror show

He has only let three pens in and our defence is pretty solid and he’s part of it. He’s been a steady replacement for Marosi.

It must be very frustrating waiting for that costly error that on the law of averages he’s bound to make, that happens to all goalkeepers. You seem a bit disappointed that shot that bounced out off his chest didn’t lead to a goal never mind there’s always next time.
