Some players have really developed under Lampard (Rudoni and Torp for example) others have fallen by the way side, that's just what happens when a new gaffer comes in. I hope he stays here for a couple more transfer windows at least and clears out some of the players who won't make the step up. (There's plenty of them)

I don’t think there’s any evidence of Simms being offered out on loan. He’s featured in more games than not this season, he clearly has a role to play in the current squad. Bassette doesn’t, so he went to the best available interested club.No one would even take him in loan.

Thought he had something about him in his early appearances. He was great v Sheff U last year. When he then was introduced as a sub in a handful of games at the end of last season he looked lost. I would imagine he doesn't fit into Lampard's way of playing, and and couldn't adapt his game enough to get more minutes. So he became troublesome. The way Frank has transformed the majority of players at this club into better players, I would back his judgement on this.
Not to reignite an old argument but the issue Lampard had with Bassette was obviously his effort/application in training. He made that clear in his pre/post match comments a few times.Why did he freeze him out?
