No the money was paid by the clubs money that was in the escrow account.

We can get pedantic and say that the council don't own the whole Ricoh because the 3.9% is owned by the ERDF whom they received a habit from.

So the club had topped up the account after there had been a missed payment or was it all the grant? The tenant at my flat has a similar arrangement except that they didn't get a grant.

If we had by mutual consent left the Ricoh on good terms and owed no money to ACL what would have happened to the Escrow money? Would it have become payable to our club or back to the organisation/person who made the grant?

Basically attacking the council through Simon. Even though the higgs - sisu case had nothing to do with them?!

Only his wife*!!! LOL!!!

(*I'm misinterpreting 'some' as '5ex' and suggesting his wife was making womanly 5ex noises during their intercourse!)

While I dont agree with personal abuse, Les Reid got a lot of flak when his work became opinionated. All Simon has done is reported the facts from court.

Is "our verdict" not an opinion then?

Have any of the council's critics come up with a satisfactory explanation as to why the council is united in its stance? Isn't it unusual for all sides to agree on an issue particularly with elections coming up?

Yes. Does it say Simon's Verdict??

Have you actually read the "our verdict?" does it sound very opinionated?

I would just like to clarify that I didn't write that. But I'm also not saying I do / do not agree with it!

That's the view of the Coventry Telegraph. It was meant more as an analysis rather than an opinion piece I believe.

Who wrote it? Is it the opposite document to the leaked one from the SISU lawyers?

Isn't he the chap who got the hump about not being offered a meeting with Lucas even though he isn't anything to do with anything?

The issue I think a lot of people had with the last couple of Reid pieces is there weren't written as clearly opinion pieces, certainly on the online version, and things that were his opinion were presented in a way that made it look like he was asserting them as facts.

Er....no unless you are actually suggesting the vast majority of ACL's value is based on a lease with the football club. That's a real dumb statement.

Go hug someone G.

I'm suggesting nothing of the sort, you're suggesting that I'm suggesting that. I was talking about assets, not value.

If you're at the point of inventing both sides of your arguments now I'd suggest it's time to quit.

Yep. Acted like he was some sort of power broker until both sides said "never heard of him" bit of a Walter Mitty if his twitter timeline is anything to go by.

Just as a very quick aside mate, with apologies if you've considered it already, have you looked at the Amazon Associates type of thing? God knows the missus buys enough tat online - I'd be more than happy to have her order stuff through the forum site if it helps. Might even chip in myself.

Anything to keep the SISU PR machine rolling, obviously.

Not at all. As soon as he wrote "what about ACL..." The knives were out and no matter what he said he was attacked for it. The same will happen to Simon if he steps out of line.

Torch, you really do write some silly stuff. It is total nonsense to suggest that. I have no problem with ACL or CCC getting stick from anyone. And when and if they 'do a SISU' I will denounce them as much if not more than i do your beloved SISU.

Note 'do a SISU' is an duplicated idiom for "devastate something that was good" or "Make a total fuck of it"

As you mention it, the site in my signature (which is currently being remade) will be using that. There is www.finditforless.co.uk but it doesn't have Amazon on I don't think and is very old.

Its a thankless task to run a website, people are quick to moan but slow to praise.

For the record this site is run very well, even if I heartily disagree with some of the view Nick expresses (& vice versa, LOL).

Welcome to contributions but only in donations to be passed on to members.

The prediction league has been quiet this year because of all the crap, last couple of seasons it was really popular, prizes would have been great as when it has been a prize of a city shirt in the past I paid for it.

My wife did say the other day "CCFC should really pay you for that site".
