Atmosphere (16 Viewers)

If you drill down on Google Gemini you will undoubtedly see Coventry as being the best stadium for fan expectation / numbers and vibe. Helped by our continued progress year on year.

number 1. Expectant and vibrant.
The club is flying high at the top of the table. Every home game feels like a title charge, with a huge sense of belief and momentum. The atmosphere is loud, positive, and driven by a strong winning run.

Agreed that the atmosphere was really fucking weird after we went 3-2, appropriate limbs after the goal, a good rendition of "it's all gone quiet over there" then... Nothing? Maybe we all felt a bit tense, maybe we were all soaking wet and freezing cold?

Something that's been bugging me recently is how rarely you hear PUSB, Sky Blue Army or Coventry Homes. Tatsu and EMC's songs aside, I don't think any of our player chants elicit a lot of excitement.

'kinnell!

so much talk about a simple thing. If you want more noise, try and start some songs and try to keep songs going longer. Folks around you are probably new to going up the football. Just show them how it's done!

PUSB is an important part of our past.. But I don’t miss it because it fades out and as such seems half-hearted.

I’ve drilled it into my lad (He only showed an interest in wanting to go regularly half way through last season) That regardless of the song fading around you, you sing it to its conclusion AND it’s three ‘City’!’s followed by a clap after each right at the end.
He’s slowly getting onboard.

One thing that I liked from Saturday was the trumpeteer?...trumpeter.

I mean, it would be better it if it was actually before WLADITT and not just at a random time. There was a different song in between.

I'd prefer if he played the Eton Boating song and started a full rendition of PUSB.

It is a bit of an idiotic song. Perhaps not now but 10 years ago.

Paying money on a cold winters night to watch us lose to Forest Green, yet I somehow still have to prove my love for the City by standing up

I think it just helps get more people involved with the atmosphere for 30 seconds.

I thought it may have been to herald the players coming out, but no.

Swansea are shite

singing "hymns and arias" 3 times a game does not god fans make

Shite last year but they've been loud many times we've been there before. Good little corner section by the away fans which give plenty back. Something we've lost since opening the South Stand.

The gap between the away fans and the corner hasn’t changed

No, but there's now fans in the middle, many of which with no intention of joining in with the atmosphere and/or young families.

Besides the standard 'long way to... when you're shit', there's not much back and forth.

I’m not sure how that can be solved as there’s no room for those people to move elsewhere now

The ship has sailed unfortunately.

Although even if the club encouraged people to move, there's plenty who would never move from Block 14/15.
A fair few did. Thats why we got 4 seats there last year. And we all stand until our back tell us they’ve had enough. No issues from the stewards unless something happens in row XX. Theres a seat been empty all last season and this. I guess he’s one of the lads who goes to the top of B 15.

Block 9 is 100% match day atm. There will be loads of spare seats For season tickets.

Block 9 won't be able to be open if we get promoted unfortunately.

Nor will a good bit of block 5, as all of block 6 will need to be given to away fans

We're average, but were revered for our support just a couple of years back. There are reasons and early KO etc part of it, but for me it's that we've got a lack of good songs. Whenever anyone suggests anything its either written off as 'cringe' or the old 'well you come over to block 15 to try and start it'. Whilst both are valid, we need some to take up the mantle and not be scared to try a few things that might not bang, the odd one might.

We don't even get out LAST like we used to. About 19 renditions of it a game, nany times stopping part way through.

I also dont think our drummer is as good as our nonce was.

I wonder if this is the first time ever that sentence has been said
