Atmosphere again (3 Viewers)

There was a few games a couple of seasons ago when they were closer to singers corner but mostly they have been where they are now ever since the ground opened

that was just whilst the were working on the new segregation

when people talk about the golden era of atmosphere, the away fans were where they are now

dont get it, top of the league own the ground and flying but that was awful today, it’s getting worse, I know it’s probably a bit nervous being in this position but we need to get behind them, something needs to change
2nd half was brilliant but we def need to do something next season, maybe it’s just been down to the pressure every game ?

Yesterday was really good. Honestly we're too harsh on ourselves. Next season games won't be done and dusted and we won't be clear at the top by x points. Jepody will be there. It'll be like our first season back in the champ x100

The atmosphere did feel weird in the first half but I agree it was amazing in the second half. The PUSB after the third goal was biblical, the loudest I've ever heard it in my life.

I've got to say that I find the repertoire of songs pretty repetitive. Why exactly did we need a second song about EMC? Why did we sing it in response to other players doing things??

It was definitely nerves. Whilst we’d all but won the league, just that tension of “are we going to do it tonight” played a massive part, and it’s why things just took off after the 3rd goal - our work was done.

The other song is a general team song, just so happens that EMC is the memorable line. What a fucking song it is though.

I was a bit confused by that but seemed to really take off and he did have a great game.

It was a bizzare game. The atmosphere went a bit flat at one point in first half. But picked up again. I think people needed to take a moment to think this is going to happen tonight. Second half was great.

It was a great team performance. I felt sorry for Portsmouth players at one point the way we were just zipping the ball about amongst the defenders and midfield - go on come and try and get it.

I thought the Portsmouth fans were good and stuck by their team. I am glad they stayed up. They have the basis of a good team if they can avoid injuries. They might be a dark horse for the play offs next year with a couple of additions.

The thing is with Portsmouth fans is that they are the English version of the 'constant noise' you get on the continent. 50 lads at the back just singing the same song for 15 minutes at a time. They do it at home too. It's not for me but live and let live.

On the pitch I thought they looked useless, great finish by ya man for their goal but they didn't create any real chances, didn't have us under the kosh or sustain pressure. I like the little lay offs they did a few times.

First half was subdued admittedly, but 2nd half was as good as it has been (Always the way when we shoot that end of the ground 2nd half)

They had a lot out and lost two more decent players at the weekend. They played well against Boro and outplayed Ipswich which we couldn't do. Earlier in the season they looked a decent home side.

The second goal killed them last night and the third buried them. But they are a better team than what was on show last night.

I am glad Portsmouth stayed up as they are a 'proper' club and passionate fans. However based on their performance last night they were one of the weakest teams Ive seen this season.OK , Coventry City were on top form and they struggled to cope with us.

I will always be greatful to them for getting those results against Middlesboro and Ipswich that made our promotion and title win a lot easier.

I thought they were rubbish when we played them at Fratton Park

Was quite impressed with them in the first half, but in the second half we just upped it and I do not think there is a team in the League who could have stopped us from scoring a hatful of goals

I watched the game vs Leicester and it was honestly such a shit game of football, I don't doubt they are better than what we saw last night, but last night they were indeed awful. It could've been 6 or 7

If you think it was bad in the first half well that's what it's going to be like at most Premier League grounds next season.
