I think if we get through the next three (Swans (a), Derby(h), Hull (a)) and remain top then there is absolutely no chance we're being caught.

Would snap your hand off for 5/6 points from those now.
It's highly likely we would be still be top even if we lose all 3! I'm not sure in that scenario I'd be confident of us picking ourselves up to win the league on the back of 4 straight losses though.

Boro's best form of the season over 8 games saw them pick up 18 points If they were to replicate that, they would get to 88
Millwall's best form got them 19 points which would put them on 87
Ipswich have 9 games left and their best form over 9 got them 22 points for a total of 90

If all 3 play at the best form they have all season, then 89 would get us promoted (4 more wins)

Worth mentioning that only Milwall are anywhere near that level currently with 18 over the last 8. Ipswich are on 18 from their last 9 and Boro are (shockingly) on 12 from 8.

So if all 3 play at their most recent form, Boro would be on 82 and both Milwall and Ipswich on 86. We would go up with 86 as Milwall are not going to overturn a 29 goal difference differential (3 more wins).

Chances are it will be somewhere between the 2 so chuck in a couple of draws in there for good measure and we'll be fine.

and for good measure they all play each other so it's iposible for all3 to reach that total.

Looked at the table Jan.1st since then we have all since played 13 bar ipswich who have played 12. The teams who are closer now are Middlesboro 2 points and Millwall 3.There are only 8 games left and Millwall have to play 2nd and 3rd.IMO passing us is not happening
Sick Boy take chill pill and have a lie down
Enjoy the ride.

I know this sounds like the ramblings of a mad man but I will be gutted if I don't get to witness Grimes lifting the trophy, and wouldn't accept 2nd if it was offered to me now. I'd rather it plays out. We have got such an advantage. Everybody other than Coventry fans have already conceded that the title is ours, we just can't look at it objectively.

The Opta super computer says 95%? Some bookies not even taking odds on us to go up anymore.

I know but it helps with the shitting myself if we lose one game.🤣 I've been a cov fan for along time and like people say the cov way of fucking up is always in the back of your mind.Rudi,Wright and Thomas will be a big miss Saturday but hopefully two of them are back for Derby game.
I just cant see it.

99% likely according to the boffins and bookies.

We surely cannot fall into the 1%

I suffered with constipation for years until we got to the top of the table and I must say every game we play now it quite as you would say making me quite loose😁

We have never been in this position before. that's why there is anxiety. When I was growing up there was no internet and we got our news from the CET and Sports Argus or Leicester Mecury, depending where you live. Of course we had conversations about the team and players but not to the extent it is now. I bet the majority of guys (& gals) that can't hack it are guys like me, who had the internet drifting into our lives. My younger family members are cool about it all, they can drift off and not pay much attention, but the SBT crew are one blipp away from the funny farm.
Saying that, I feel rather cool about it all. If we fail and make a drastic nose dive I will still be here next season. Of course it would be hard to show our faces in public but we would get over it. I am enjoying each game as it comes, and NOT looking at the bigger picture because if team A wins all their games they get X number of points, but as we see team A slips up too.
The funny thing i have found, and I have never done it before, but i have visited other team's sites and do you know what, they are the same as us. It's like a clone shop and we are CCFC but Ipswich, Boro, Millwall, all of them have exactly the same characters are us, same conversations and I bet they are the same age.
I don't suffer from anxiety, I did many moons ago, but football I kid myself is not that important, but it is. We have 8 more games, I am not looking beyond this weekend but I am assessing each game and thinking what other teams will do. One thing I do recommend, if you don't do it already, is go on Youtube and watch the blogs of nutcases, very nice nutcases, go over every game. They spend hours of their lives analysing matches and as I commute between Brum and London 3 or 4 days a week the time flies by.
It's really nice to know there are nutcases and anxiety affected dudes in every team, we are not alone.

I have a general underlying anxiety at the moment which I think is caused by the promotion race. A win at the weekend would be massive and we'd be have one foot in the PL.
It’s almost like a relegation run in. We sort of got used to that under S**U but having seen a few close calls in our 34 years in the top tier, I can say that this is more anticipation than jeopardy.

I’m nervous as fuck, can’t wait for the next game but when it comes I watch through my fingers expecting the worse just like I did when watching the old Frankenstein movies as a kid.
I’m sure we will get across the line I just hope it’s sooner rather than later. I’m never happy being 2-0 up and even more so being 7 point clear, just doesn’t make sense.PMT (pre-match Tension) every game until we are confirmed promoted 🙏🙏🙏🙏🩵
