Match Thread Arsenal v Coventry Friday 21st August 23 ko 8pm (4 Viewers)

It was a real shock to the system Friday- even though we expected it, was the virtually first time in 3 or 4 years when we couldn’t play with any of the identity we have played with so successfully in that time. Almost nothing came off and played a team who were not worried by nearly anything we did. We are used to caution around our attacking threat.
It may have been a blessing to get it out of the way but would love to have had the games Ipswich and Hull had to at least get a foothold in the division.

Had a great night and weekend regardless of the result tbh - The Arsenal fans I met were all very decent

That is the toughest game out of the way, they will probably retain the title at a canter and be there or thereabouts in Europe again

We were outclassed for sure but certainly not humiliated, glad it stayed 3-0 as on paper looks that looks semi-respectable, it is when they start hitting 4 or 5 it looks like a proper demolition job on paper

Might have been shared already but just saw this posted a few places:

"According to official Sky Sports tracking data released following Gameweek 1, Mikel Arteta's squad covered more ground than any other team in the division"

So not only were we playing against the best team, we also played against the fittest and hardest working. Surprisingly or unsurprisingly, Hull were second, shows that they really fought for their win.

Do you think the poster he made it up. Could be, nothing much is real these days. 😁

For starters, why would he name both Arsenal players and call his team mate “defender”?

It’s such a detailed review of the opposition for fuck all reason. As if that’s how he’d be replaying the match after.

Just reads like nonsense. No source.
