Was very funny.

Nick, what was that prick on about re: SBT having breached GDPR???
The guy's clearly a tool!
Not only have we signed up to the data policy on here, but there is no actual personal data on the letter (unless he was referring to something else).
And besides all that, we have consented to our names being used by using the hashtag "Me Too" - or was that something different?
We're fine!

So we have had 330 members read this. If the 100 or so who haven't voted have chosen not to so it doesn't make the majority figure look bad, great credit to them. But voting in favour would be better still ... HINT, HINT!!

Whilst how I vote, and indeed whether I choose to or not, is up to me, why would you try and make something representative of all and then try and make it difficult for people to share their view without being shouted down? How would people expressing their personal opinion 'skew' the result? It's almost as if you're trying to force a view onto people, much like many on here accuse others of doing?

As it turns out, I'm in favour of the statement and I'm largely in agreement of everything within it. Fair play Pete - gets my vote.

PS. I'd take issue with this site being the 'oldest online community', but I'll let that slide

Oldest remaining online community with GMK gone (may be wrong).

Anyone remember when the official site used to have a forum? Aptly nicknamed "the offal"

Think it got shut down because of racism!

It must be the oldest active online community though, of note anyway. It predates the social media pages and outlasted GMK et al, unless I've missed one.

I remember. Didn’t it get shut down because of posts leading to McGinnity threatening to sue over libel or slander? May well (and probably am) wrong.

It’s slowly coming back to me now. I think the then owners shut the offal down due to comments about them in posts.

McGinnity did threaten Neville with a libel case.

And Bob Bones (Murkage?) was obsessed with USS...

I had a couple of run ins with Citizens Arrest on GMK who I often wonder may in fact be our Grendel.

Depends how you define 'active'. The SkyBlues Internet Mailing list is still alive on the listserv serve at Warwick Uni. skyblues Info Page.

Started in the late 1980s I think. The most recent posting was from the 27th December last year linking to the article the BBC did on kits (referencing ours). Used to be very well subscribed through the 90s and had it's own football team with a kit donated by the club. I'd it's say down to a handful of members now, so my comment was a bit tongue in cheek

Yes, I do rember that. I went online in about 97, and it was quite active back then.
