Surprisingly easy - combination of good bowling and dodgy batting.
Mahmood impressive, Parkinson interesting.
But it's Pakistan - same side can just as easily come out and smash 350 next time round. But they have been on a good run recently

Another good win.
Actually nice to see so many new faces. Mahmood looks a real find. Parkinson a brave leggie but needs some tricks. Simpson looks decent and could do a job if needed but realistically never going to get a shot. Like to see more of Salt.
Batters need to show a bit more. Hopefully they'll get a chance to chase a score next game.

Really like the way this season some counties are giving proper youngsters a chance.
Sussex-Kent seems to have about 10 18-20 year olds playing in current game. Ather's son getting his Middlesex debut at 19. Baker an 18 year old bowling nicely for Worcs. Other counties giving 21-22 year olds a proper go.
Days of carrying journeymen ending has to be good for English cricket. Average age of players falling has to be a good sign.
Always a few hold outs packed with Kolpak/pensioners etc but the trend is encouraging.

Then we have Darren Stevens at 140 years old, but you are right there are loads of good young ones coming through Yates at Warwickshire is a talent.

That's Vince hanging around for another 3 years then
Gregory showing he is a white ball player. Knows the game. May not be a big name but could be a really useful player to keep around. And I didn't really like the pick before these games

50 innings to make your first hundred is certainly taking it steady, the commentary team were talking about a place in the test side

Learning the old fashioned nonsense of 2-3 years in the 2nds then hitting the 1st team when you're 25-26 was wasteful. Got kids 15/16 playing in a lot of 2nd XIs now when school's out so they're ready that much earlier.
Going to pay off in the near future.

Woakes rested again for the t20’s against Pakistan that four over workload must be a killer.

Unless he was one of those with COVID and is getting more recovery time.
As good as the ODI wins were I hope the selectors doesn't think it vindicates their over-exuberant rotation philosophy.
But i do get the idea to have another close look at Mahmood.

What on earth is going on at Headingley? Play was stopped for the day after a horrific injury to Dom Leech, now the game has been abandoned as its been deemed unsafe to continue.

Thats bad enough but it now turns out Yorkshire were aware of the issues but had postponed work to fix that was due to take place before the season started. And to top it all off this match was supposed to be played at Scarborough but a couple of weeks ago Yorkshire decided to move it.

Just under 3 weeks until their first game against England so hopefully this will be a minor outbreak and quarantining will do the trick. A bigger outbreak in the Indian squad could be an issue. They can't just magic up a whole new squad as England did as they won't have the players in the country.

After Rishabh Pant, Team India support staff member tests positive for Covid-19

The news of Team India members testing positive comes in the wake of the virus sweeping through the England camp ahead of their limited-overs home series against Pakistan.

It can only be good all these young players getting a chance sooner, I am not sure at grass roots it’s the same most of the teams I am playing against are old Nuneaton has a 64 year old opening bat.

Most games I've been in this year there's been a wide range of ages to be fair. Always happier to see an old dude come out to bat than someone with a junior Bears kit

Some weeks we have only one junior in our side and this week will probably have none. The old guys that we played against were so miserable at the weekend, the 64 yo got run out early and even I learnt some new swear words as he left the field, the guy that was at the other end is an old skipper of mine and I reminded him about the run out until he was out

I find it strange that the Bears are the only team to be city specific in the Blast, any idea why that is?

Had tickets for the Roses derby on Saturday but they got cancelled when capacity was reduced so really looking forward to tonight. Can’t wait to be back at a full OT in glorious weather for a series decider. Hopefully Livi does the business at home.
