A few months back SISU were banging on about how they were looking to recruit a local businessman as chairman. Have there been any developments or is this an example of yet more lies from SISU?
did hear what was only a rumour that a local estate agent may be being considered, possibly Shortland ,only rumour though ,wondered myself if they may have considered Ian Neale who was involved here before.
One wonders what local businessman would want to be SISU's puppet. Whoever it is would probably face his company being boycotted by all CCFC fans so why would anyone think it would make commercial sense to step into the position?
Don't think there is anyway near a divided fan base on getting sisu out of our club, a few different opinions as to how we try to do it. Reference yesterdays demo 5/600 at a point were there that represents 5% of the doubtful published attendance, that ain't bad. Just about all who stood around were of the opinion the longer this lot run our club the deeper in the shite we go.Is it any wonder why we have a divided fan base when we read comments like this?
I would like to see a Chairman appointed - regardless of whether SISU stay or go. This is common place for any significant business undertaking. I would not expect to see any such person then the victim of the sort of campaign to which you allude as it is quite frankly malicious.
People have lives, financial commitments, families - the Chairman may have a large employee base and I would not like to see those people indirectly suffering because you decide to "boycott" his/her products or services.
Sorry but I find your post irresponsible and not one I suspect are large part of the CCFC fans would approve.
You say such a chairman's company would be boycotted "by ALL the CCFC fans" - There were about 200 at the protest yesterday. There were about 8,000 in the ground who were not. It is the 8,000 that you need to win the hearts and minds of if you want to bring about change. I am pretty sure the 8,000 will not be boycotting in the manner you suggest.
If there is to be a Chairman then in my opinion it should be more of a figurehead role than a KD type of role - so a former Coventry manager/player of iconic status.
