We 100% need a wide player, a first team ready wide player at that.

Then yes ideally a midfielder / 10 - if they could play both great. If not perhaps 2, one being a loan in 10 role perhaps.

I think those clauses are likely to be out of time now anyway, they weren't reported to be open ended. Two years maybe. Haji had one too for sure and there are probably/possibly others, the details of the deals weren't all disclosed but I suspect we at least tried to do it with all of the players that we've brought in.

As someone else mentioned, the other Rak Sakyi at Chelsea who we were rightly / wrongly rumoured with (did anyone confirm which Rak Sakyi it was?!) looked extremely similar in style to Grimes; albeit he’d basically played little to no first team football. I’m sure the recruitment team have many names. I hope.

I'd say closer to £30m. Half of the league's wage bill ranges from £30m to over £100m+ at the time Leicester were last in the Championship.

Right, I’ve been extraordinarily sad for the last half hour and have run through those figures. Average Championship wage bill (all staff; unfortunately there’s no player-only breakdown) in 23/24 was £36m. Stripping out the 3 that had immediately come down from the PL, the average dropped to £28m, equating to an average 95.6% of turnover spent on wages/staff costs.

By comparison we had a wage bill of £23.4m and were just shy of 80% turnover ratio.
