If the player costs a fee I doubt we have any chance.
I said yesterday that financially it’s like competing with a Premier League team when up against a Parachute payment club, and although their revenue will have gone through the floor they have just sold £50 million worth of players so it’s a huge task to compete against them. Maybe we might be able to offer more first team game time and maybe working with FL might prove attractive but if it’s money that talks then we will lose out way more times than we would like.

Or it was location? I find it odd he prefers Wrexham on location to Sheffield or Glasgow. Ok closer to Manchester, but the Sheffield and Glasgow areas offer pretty decent places to live. Although United and Rangers may have only been able to offer lower wages - who knows?
He's only 21 and I'd hazard a guess he lives in Cheshire somewhere. Quite plausible that he'd want to go to a team where he doesn't have to move.

No everybody seems to be panicking over lack of signings, 3 weeks back people were mocked for showing a displeasure in the summer business! My opinion is this window has been absolutely wank only decent thing is we have held onto the bulk of the squad but you can never just sit on your hands!
Struggling to see how you came to that conclusion. Improved at keeper, signed a very good RB and Brau looks a promising LB option as well. Off-loaded Binks for a profit which is great business whichever way you look at it. More to do and it would have been nice to get a CB in before now but you really can't call it wank......

Imo it is wank! The only money we spent was replacing a player we havent sold. I was just wanting more after last season falling short again. Thought a new midfielder and cb would of really give us that edge

And a lot of players move and buy properties as a property portfolio, while retaining their original property. He will be on a descent wage. He has been on the loan road since he was 17 and is only 21, so a good chance that Cheshire property is his parents.

After his pre-season calamity and Saturdays performance, the whole "improved at keeper" jury is still out for me. Hes also only a loan, so to say we've improved? If he comes good and Saturdays showing was just a blip, at most, he's a stop gap, rather than an improvement imo.
We've improved at RB, but only IF MVE stays. If he goes before the window ends, we've tread water there too.
And as promising as Brau looks, its clear JDS is still preferred to him at LB.

He's a far better keeper than Wilson and Collins, he has shown that already.

Give MAB time, there's been 3 proper games so far.

Has he though? He flapped at every cross in to the box on Saturday like Collins and kicked every ball in to touch like Wilson. Hes made 1 good save v Hull. Even Wilson has 1 good save every 2 games in him.

Im not writing him off and really hope he comes good. But we can't claim he's "better than Wilson" after his showings so far.

Did you see Collins at the end of last season? Once Rushworth stopped a shot he was better. But you only have to watch the defence playing in front of Rushworth to see the improvement he brings.

We can because he is. Brighton aren't rejecting 5 million bids for Wilson let's be honest

Anybody on here want some toilet rolls (unused), please DM me. I acquired a few too many back in the day (for reasons that I can't quite recall).
Yeah but I've still got last years already,we don't have to keep astute in work anymore either, but I'm all for a bit of oversupply keeping the cost down, sorry retailer's or people who play the markets!🤔
