One of Da Silva or Bidwell has surely got to go
He has no mens football under his belt yet does he? Tbh i don't think there's much between League 2 and the National League and FGR will probably be up there. Maybe if he excels he'll move up the ladder in Jan.
I thought he was going to Grimsby. The suggestion was that we've built up a good relationship with them during Obikwu's loan spell and were hoping to send more of our youngsters there.

From brief glimpses of him in the City unseen he looks technically very good and has a bit of a physical presence about him. Might not be thrown straight in but I agree long term he has been signed as the starting left back
He did have a month out with an injury in Feb 2025…. I don’t know the extent and only came back into Granada squad with mostly sub appearances. Could be just phasing out as they knew he was leaving? Sounds like this one was in the bag whether we were promoted or not so must be value in him

Brau has obviously been signed to be our starting LB. No point otherwise.
He’s never played regularly at this level, is new to the country, doesn’t really speak the language, and has had a spotty injury record. I would bet on him becoming the eventual starter but I think it’s quite reasonable to expect a lengthy adjustment period and it’ll be a genuine contest between him and Dasilva at the start of the season.

There’s a chance that KKH is a better Championship left back than any of them, and for as long as there’s a logjam at his preferred position then I wouldn’t be surprised to see him start there - he didn’t sign to sit on the bench.

I'm sure clubs will be queueing up to take the 'best in the league' for the peanuts he would be available for then.
The blindness some of this fanbase has for Wilson is wild to me. He's so poor and if we go into the season with him starting something has gone wrong.
At this point it’s just embarrassing. There’s always been this weird thing of blindly backing players not good enough by a section of the fanbase…but we’re still expected to seriously challenge for promotion. 😂😂😂

I don’t dispute that fans aren’t allowed an opinion, but as you’ve alluded to in your own reply some fans have very strange views on some players, so I would rather trust in Frank and his team to make the right call on this.

Personally I’d like another keeper, neither are adequate for a promotion pushing team, that being said I don’t know if there is a keeper out there that is going to come in and be the solution for us.
Would a current international who played 120 times in the Prem and just played half a season in Ligue 1 be adequate for you?

At this point, for some ability doesn’t matter.
Someone like that available on a free and seemingly happy to get playing time without being too fussed where, it looks like a no brainer to me. Look at it differently, would you rather sign him or Wilson up for the season?

Wilson should never have been offered a new contract. Even after his one season of playing first team football, a replacement was brought in for him because he wasn’t good enough, which says it all.

For a few he’s clearly become bigger than the club itself.

Then that replacement lost his mind and performed even worse than him. We need someone with the ability to brush off mistakes like Wilson can, but the goalkeeping ability far better than either of them.

Can you imagine any other team that genuinely fancies themselves for top 6 being happy starting the season with Ben fucking Wilson in goal?

Don't want to get too ahead of ourselves, but apparently Rapha has turned up to pre season a new man

Bulked up a bit, fitness levels now almost at the levels expected and is showing good signs on the training pitch.

He would basically be like a new signing if he can seriously compete with Tats
Save ourselves a few quid if him and Andrews are getting to the level. Maybe Obikwu too?

King as owner would be negligent if he allowed Lampard to sign keeper number 4. This is not about ability. It’s about the economics of it.

Can we have 1 years wages back off him then please. Being fit is the very least we should expect.

Think it’s harder for Obikwu, he’s not going to be what we need ahead of Simms and Wright, probably best he does preseason then finds a loan to carry on his development as he was starting to perform in men’s football and that will be far more valuable than sitting on our bench.

From what we heard within the camp last season his ability and skill was incredible, fingers crossed he can progress as he will save us some money if he can compete and maybe start
