I literally just think we need to improve our defence. I think you’re all going to be very disappointed if you think all that’s standing between Thomas and Kitching being a colossal pairing is a new attacking left back. Jay Dasilva didn’t give Kitching the turning circle and game reading ability of an oil tanker.
That’s genuinely not what i see when I watch Kitching play.

Club getting brilliant at not letting stuff come out.

Silence doesn’t mean we’re not doing anything behind the scenes.

Also the free transfers can’t happen until after 30th June when contracts run out.

You can agree a deal with a player before their contract runs out? So you are wrong

It's amazing how far we have come.
In the last three years, we have reached the play offs twice. Lost the first final on penalties, the semi only just. For the latter, although we made mistakes, we really did not get the rub of the green. Reached an FA Cup semi-final where most independent observers thought we were robbed of a victory by VAR.
Yet a lot of posters are arguing how shit our players are. Even the players being criticised played a big part in achieving those outcomes.
Again, it is classic short-termism and not looking at the bigger picture. As players get older, they tend to get better with more experience. Take out career effecting injuries, and most should improve.
Obviously Sheaf's injuries are a worry and Bidders drop in form since his injury but, apart from Allen, Wilson and Grimes, most of our players are at an age where they should improve.
EMC, BTA and Haji were all hampered last season by injuries but all showed glimpses of class. Thomas and Kitch make mistakes but they have the advantage of having played together for a long time.
The only major worry I have is Collins loss of confidence.
If we can keep the team together, particularly MVE and Rudoni with the odd addition we should be a force next season.

We announce when we want under Doug. Remember Sakamoto being leaked on his way to training. Almost all leaks come from the other club these days when it’s almost done.

It's almost time for a random foreign journalist to leak something I think. Those always end up being the most legit rumours. Hence I think Brau is probably only a matter of time.

The club will have done plenty of work on targets and deals of players potentially going out the door. Im expecting a few shocks and a few random names appear that we think would of been impossible signings a few years ago.

I also think they will be no build up to signings, things will happen quick once the window opens again.

I quite liked it when the club were shady about it. Especially when Sakamoto was photographed at the airport in pre season 😂

When you start to mix it higher up the league which we have done for a couple of seasons, you’ve got to demand more and better to ensure you get a high performing team to ultimately get us to the Premiership. We’ve fallen short and that needs to be addressed. Doug will demand that and Lampard will as well.

We're in the worst part of SBT calendar...

The football holiday season

Everyone's on holiday (or international duty). Granted agents will still be working but players won't be negotiating and mangers won't be giving green lights this quickly after the end of the season.
