Yeah they aren't that shit lets be honest, which is why there are teams in our league interested in themSo Were Simms and Assante.

Oh let’s be fair Kitching has so far under performed for the fee we paid. He certainly improved under Frank but over 2 seasons he’s been disappointing.
That said it should have no impact on our assessment of any future player from Barnsley.
The end of the season showed JDS is capable of playing at a good level.JDS is a much bigger problem than Kitching lets not be ridiculous
Both players who imo massively benefit from having a partner up front.Yeah they aren't that shit lets be honest, which is why there are teams in our league interested in them
He was better, yet a lot of goals came from down his side. The end of the season showed JDS is capable of playing at a good level.
CB is just a more important position than fullback imo, get that partnership right and our goalscorers can take it from there.

He is good in possession yes, and his tackling improved. The problem is his positioning and recovery speed, he just doesn't have it.
You can see the team looks imbalanced. If we had another MVE on the left side the defence would be a much more solid unit.
It looks like the LB position is being prioritised from early window talk so Lampard likely agrees. I expect Dasilva to stick around though, think Bidwell will be moved on.He was better, yet a lot of goals came from down his side.

The defence all matters EQUALLY they are a unit ffs.By that logic they also came down Kitchings side. I’m not even sure how true that is tbh. The Dasilva derangement on here got truly ridiculous at points. Blaming your attacking left back for all your defensive woes seems a little unlikely. Our problem all season was we couldn’t defend our box and that’s on the CBs. Kitching lost his man for the goal that knocked us out. Ultimately CBs matter far more for defence than full backs, especially in our system where they’re designed to get high up the pitch and the DM drops in instead.
So basically the nit picking of DaSilva annoys you but your happy to nit pick KitchingBy that logic they also came down Kitchings side. I’m not even sure how true that is tbh. He let Ballard ( his man ) have a free header at goal in the last minute …it proved fatal.F
Fatal error?
and he had a very good run with Thomas in his first season.

He reads the game well in my opinion. Its not a new attacking left back thats needed, its one with the recovery pace of MVE.I literally just think we need to improve our defence. I think you’re all going to be very disappointed if you think all that’s standing between Thomas and Kitching being a colossal pairing is a new attacking left back. Jay Dasilva didn’t give Kitching the turning circle and game reading ability of an oil tanker.
The defence all matters EQUALLY they are a unit ffs.
What are you even talking about anymore. The original poster said that upgrading Kitching was more important than upgrading JDSBut we can only criticise or want to upgrade one of them?

Difference between throwing a fit and stating my opinion. That’s what I’m saying too. You’re throwing a fit because we didn’t say JD
Haji Wright has scored 12 goals in 29 matches so far in the Championship 2024/2025 season. 8 of the 12 goals were scored at home while he scored 4 goals at away games. Overall, Haji Wright's goals scored per 90 minutes is 0.51. Moreover, Haji Wright's total G/A (goals + assists) is 13 for this season. His goal involvement equates to 0.55 per 90 minutes. His Non-Penalty xG per 90 minutes is 0.46. This puts Haji Wright's npxG output at 11.00 which puts him in the top 98 percentile of Championship players.
He looked pretty dreadful when we played them in the cup, especially with the ballFraser Forster on a short term deal Till Dovin's fit?
I know wages could be a stumbling block, but plenty of experience
I just cant see us looking to upgrade Kitching first when hes been captain multiple times this year
The circumstances are clearly quite differentBy that logic, we wouldn't be looking to upgrade JAmie Allen either

So has Jamie Allen … we stillI just cant see us looking to upgrade Kitching first when hes been captain multiple times this year
Has Allen left then?So has Jamie Allen … we still
Upgraded him
