Don’t think 12 goals is irreplaceable and his lack of effort in some games is shocking. We need a striker who turns up every time and even if not scoring to be affecting the game.
You can tell within 5 mins of KO if he can be arsed or not and when not we’re playing with 10 men.
I don’t see him as a sole striker through the middle as too often he doesn’t fancy the battle with the centre halves.
If we could get our money back I’m sure the scouting team could find better.

12 goals in 20 odd games

Penalties and headers don’t count either so it’s even less #WrightOut

Remember when scoring a hat trick was a good thing for a striker?

This new obsession with ‘games scored in’ is odd. Most top end strikers in most leagues will generally struggle much better than a goal every 3 games. Gyokeres “only” scored in 17 games or so in 22/23. Out of 50 games, some could argue “it’s hardly prolific”… 🤡

The trouble with Wright is that he just won't pass the ball. Instead, he creates a cul-de-sac for himself, that he just can't get out of. Sure, he can cross the ball, but there are so many times when he needs to keep the attack flowing by passing.
Given all that, he scores goals, and that's what we bought him for.

It’s a shame you get the reference, it was mocking Eni Aluko’s infamous ‘you do the maths’ quote.

However, your maths is wrong because it was 5 goals in 3 games; Sunderland, Plymouth and Burnley. So you’re penalising a striker for scoring a hattrick against Sunderland which was arguably our most important win of the season because tilted the odds in our favour on finishing in the Top 6.

Bad maths aside, to put into context how silly your argument is… Piroe was the top scorer in the division with 19 goals, in 3 games he scored 2+ goals (6 v Stoke over 2 games). Which means he scored 14 goals in 46 games… is he also “hardly prolific”?

Which, btw, Haji’s ratio was better even including the 2 playoff games. Bearing in mind Piroe cost £10m raising to £12m…
It’s not bad maths I was replying to the goal a game bollocks and the 5 in 2 games refers to 3 v Sunderland and 2 v Oxford.
Is he a good player? When he turns up yes very good, but there are far too many games he doesn’t and as a result is not irreplaceable.
Some fans seem to have him on a pedestal as the reincarnation of Pele for some reason, maybe because our other forwards have been shit this season🤷‍♂️
My opinion is we get £9m for him we could 💯 get a more consistent player. This is a forum where different opinions should exist without immediate calling out of anyone who doesn’t agree with the majority.

Given his scoring record in the Championship £9m would be a very poor deal for us IMO.

Strange take, you must be on a wind up. We don’t make the playoffs if Haji doesn’t score that last minute winner v Oxford or a hattrick v Sunderland. So targeting those two games is odd, if you focused on his missed chances, that’s something we can work with as that actually makes sense, all due respect.

He is inconsistent yet his 31 goals in 81 games suggests otherwise and his record is better than most Championship strikers next season.

Selling for £9m after paying £7.7m with 2 good goal scoring seasons is just a nonsensical take.

Even by this forums standards that's quite the take. By all means have your different opinion just don't be shocked when the majority tell you it's a load of bs

Davis Keillor-Dunn linked to us from
Barnsley, he won pretty much every one of their end of season awards.

Track record from Barnsley players is questionable but thought I’d share. 😬

18 goals a d 7 assists in 45 games this season, can play anywhere in the forward line including number 10, great stats as he’s not just a goalscorer but is creative as well, however he isnt great in the air and is 27 so may not have much future sell on so may be medium risk high reward if it pays off

Kept on eye on him since Hilssner went to Oldham and i started paying attention to their games and noticed he was decent. Could be a good pickup but given age/experience it depends largely on the fee of course.

Apparently according to Wrexham insider, fee is around £2.5 to 3 million. Not sure how good they are though
