Ideally I’d want 15m for Hadji but if he’s unhappy and an offer of 12m comes in then I think we consider it.

Playing 4-3-3 not sure we need 4 big money strikers on the books. I’d rather we moved one of BTA and Simms on than Wright but not sure either of them turns a significant profit. Still feel there’s a player in Simms and Norman has something about him he could yet be the next Vik.

Hadji scores goals but not sure he’s a player id ever be gutted to see go. McNulty, Godden and Vik all seemed to buy into the club more than Wrights ever shown.

No he was working in B&Q Leamington.

I think the difference with Wright is we were clearly tracking him for a while, knowing Gyokeres was off.

I reckon the scouting team will have had other priorities in this window, rather than looking for a Wright replacement, and subsequently going and looking around the european market for a couple of months to replace him carries much bigger risk.

They will have identified possible replacements/upgrades for every position regardless of whether it looks as though a players staying or not.

It’s probably promotion based. Simms is similar - if he hits his targets and we get promoted it goes from 3.5m to 8m

Sell Sheaf for £6m, buy Adem Zorgane for £6m
Sell MVE for £10m, buy Kaine Kesler-Hayden for £5m
Sell Haji Wright for £15m, buy Promise David for £15m
Sell BTA for £2m
Use the remaining £5m from MVE and £2m from BTA to put toward Mathias kvistgaarden

I was ready for him to move on after his disappointing playoff performances. But looking at the bigger picture, with a home World Cup on the horizon, he'll be highly motivated to perform next season (assuming he stays fit). If he earns a call up and has a strong tournament, his value could rise significantly.

Definitely something to consider.

It's all down to what's in Haji's head. It was clear he wasn't fully committed as the end of the season. If he returns after the summer with a similar mindset, he needs to move on. Regardless of his past record.

I know we weren’t playing to his strengths but his unwillingness to challenge for headers and bust a gut was pretty soul destroying to see from your big money striker in a game of that magnitude

I too believe there's a player in Ellis Simms. Games that come to mind, Leeds away (23/24) and Luton at home last season. Unplayable. I still say to this day that when he turns and drives at players (which he doesn't do enough) it's like big Cyrille Regis in his prime. Frank needs to get into his head.
I like BTA too though, as a lively impact sub. That's probably not what he wants though, and if so then move him on if possible.

Haji is a tricky one. He's been brilliant and shite for both Robins and Lampard, so perhaps that's just the player he is. If so sell him on. If Simms starts firing and EMC continues his upward rise then we won't miss him.

The simple fact is, as a top earner and record signing you should be playing well 4 out of 5 games, not one in five. Rudoni, Grimes and Milan are showing Haji what consistency you need at this level. For that reason I think he should be sold.

A fully fit Haji would score 20+ for us next season, he needs to be showing what he's about with the USA world cup coming up, however if he/his agent really wants him to move on for the sake of the world cup, then I'm sure Doug will ensure we get the best price for him, only worry is if no-one meets a potential asking price then do we have a disgruntled player who will show the playoff form from last season, I myself don't think so, as it would be cutting his nose off to spite his face regarding world cup call up

Think all of this depends on Wright in truth. Sounds if all true, he wants to be off to a league he knows he’ll have a good season in to secure World Cup.

As a side note, if he stays would like to see Lampard tweak the tactic to get the best out of him as don’t think he suits the current set up

Haji is a really good player. But something has upset his psyche since the West Brom game. We need him in that form almost every match

Fantastic player and unplayable on his day however he has turned up a handful of times this year, noticeably Sunderland and Oxford.

However as a team we can’t afford to carry passengers and more than 50% of the time he just doesn’t do enough to justify a place. I know others have posted the same rhetoric but to note put an ounce of effort into those playoff games is frankly unforgivable and he can go for me. No amount of ability can excuse that lack of effort and desire. Cash in and get rid.

I kinda think good strikers always blow hot and cold. The really good ones just have more good days than bad. I think it's probably true for Simms as well as Haji, both have the ability, it's just whether Frank can unlock it.

I think its interesting that in what was probably our best team performances of the season, Haji Wright played well.
He isnt the type of striker to carry a team. He doesnt operate in complete isolation like Gyokeres did.
The price we paid for him doesnt change that, but put him in a team playing well and creating chances, he WILL finish them. As proven by his goal tally in his first season, and his still pretty good record this season from a goals vs games standpoint.

The displays in the play offs were abysmal and made me so angry, but i keep saying on here, there isnt a single team in the championship who would say no to Haji Wright

100% we dont sell him and he’s our player for the entirety of 25/26 season.

The one thing that makes me sanguine about the Wrexham project not working is that they still have Parkinson in charge. Dinosaur football. Given that Presley was appointed at Dundee yesterday that Bradford-Cov game where they nearly came to blows in the stands seems like a sliding doors moment.

Its a shame his poor spell coincided with the playoffs / end of season .. but that doesnt dismiss his contribution here which is very good on the whole .

Its also a shame fans will hold the playoffs against him

Also coincided with torp getting injured, and Your right, don’t get some of our fans, we didn’t lose the play offs because of wright, we lost because we couldn’t defend, story of the season

Whilst Wright getting into the World Cup squad may mean a better season from him overall, if he does get into the squad is it possible that he will do doing everything possible to avoid injury towards the end of the season?
Would he put his body on the line if we are fighting for the playoffs again. Surely the bigger motivation for him would be the world cup?
