Como have released Deli Alli.
Frank took him to Everton, but i can't see that really happening...can it ?
No. Sad story as he’s been through a lot but no

Came back for Como and was sent off on his debut and only appearance.

What a fucking player he was.

The only way the squad works is if Andrews is considered as someone that can play 25+ league games and if KKH or MVE can cover wide forward, and if Brau is cover for EMC. A lot of square pegs, but it could work. The squad was too heavy before.

This is the whole purpose of a recruitment team. They should in theory have many many players identified. They have a lot of time to sort this out my friend.
Of course, but sometimes things can't be sorted.

Again, what do you want to do if the targeted players aren't available? It's not about time, it'll be about money and clubs not wanting to sell.

It's not been a brilliant window, but it's not a disaster (just an anti-climax), and it's clearly not gone how we wanted, but it doesn't necessarily mean someone's fucked up.

I said I would make my judgement after the window closes and truth is it’s been poor. I’d say at best we have slightly improved, but all the other teams have definitely gained on us. Very odd from all involved.
This is it. All the people saying we've kept our squad together that finished 5th last season.... that's OK, if you dont include all the other variables of other clubs strengthening. We've almost tread water and let everyone around us catch up and/or overtake us.

GK: Rushworth, Wilson, Dovin
RB: MVE, KKH
LB: Dasilva, Brau, Bidwell
CB: Thomas, Kitching, Woolfenden, Lati
CM: Grimes, Torp, Eccles, Allen, Andrews
No. 10: Rudoni
LW: EMC,
RW: Tats
ST: Wright, BTA, Simms
Terrified of an EMC injury. Either have to change system or Haji goes out left and Simms has to play lots of minutes.
BTA has shown he can be adequate at RW to give tats a rest on occasion, but saka is going to need to stay healthy.

I really want to be positive, but we're in the same position as the last few seasons where 2 injuries at the wrong time and we're worryingly weakened.

Let's hope the physios are on their game 🤞

We are.

Yes we've sorted CB.

But we've lost a midfielder and a winger, and not replaced them.

You can't describe Sheaf as a fringe player, he was a first team player and would have made 30 odd appearances this season.
No he wouldn't

I wonder if King will be as frustrated as us. Needs to be bringing in promising young players to develop and sell for a profit, building that “asset base” as he said, but instead were running lean.

We've let no one go who was going to get any minutes, so relax.
The outgoings make perfect sense.

We are thin as a squad, and could of done with a couple more bodies, but that's wasn't a reason to hang on to players that were never going to feature, their careers are best served by moving to clubs that will play them.

Moving forward we are going to have to manage players by using rotation when possible to limit risk of injury, and we are going to have to rely on luck to keep our better players on the grass till the January window allows reinforcements.

Its not ideal, but it is what it is.

At least we have cover at CH and for both Fullbacks now.
How can we rotate players when we have 2 recognised wingers ? We’re relying on BTA playing out of position & a LB from the 2nd division in Spain covering for EMC. Massive gamble that was not needed when we had bodies in the building

EMC, Haji, Sakamoto and Torp are all not exactly known to be built out of stone. All have had spells out on the sideline and niggles, significant injury to any of them and it's a massive concern really.

Lampard obviously doesn't trust or fancy Rapha

Sheaf spent most of the season either injured or recovering from injury. Barely played double figures full fit this past couple of seasons. He can't seem to play with Grimes, so at best he would have been back up.

Rapha needs time to learn the game, he's not ready for this standard of football. Him going is no loss other than having someone to collect the cones at 2:50 every Saturday.

I'm also annoyed that as fans we live for signings don't we, it's a fun thing! We only had fucking 4 all summer and even then they managed to completely buzz kill the last one.
Our socials are absolute shite.
I disagree I couldn’t care less how they are announced.

That’s probably the plan for now. It worked well last season at least.

The top priority for Jan is wide players and at least it’ll stop people droning on about the need for another striker.

Sheffield Utd now probably in a worse situation than we were when Hamer wanted the move away from us. I'd be sacking my agent if I was Hamer.
The likes of Vini Souza and Ahmedhodzic managed to escape but he's still there. Definitely needs a new agent.

We shouldn't be leaving til today really. That's the problem.

A lot of deals seem to drag to today for various reasons, everyone waiting to see what they’ve got left before making decisions, agents holding out, prem clubs holding back on loans to see who they might need to keep etc. frustrating but is what it is

sure if the sheaf offer had come in earlier might’ve accelerated a midfield move but sounds like it only came in Saturday. I really like all the signings and not unhappy with the players let go, just feels we’re one or two light but time for some of the fringe lads to step up when given the chance. For example I think Andrews can be a player this season, not sure why lampards played him out of position in the cup which hasn’t helped though
