Pictures all taken this afternoon, why wait until after 9?
This is what I don't understand.

He's a good signing, I don't doubt, but why string it out? Now it feels an anti-climax.

I mean, we've gained a stadium, so it seems a bit of a petty quibble, but feels it could have been done better.

Whilst some are disappointed, we have significantly strengthened defence this window (our weakest area), kept all our best players and sold a 2nd choice player for £6.5m. it's really not that bad

That’s not really how it works…

We have 2 wingers (at the time of writing, at least).
Brau and bta can both play there. Infact they have. Wasn't long ago people were saying the spot was BTAs after derby and QPR.

Like I said not ideal but it's more than workable till xmass window and we have 352 if required also

If the right targets were snot there you wait till next window not just buy anyone

I like the Woolfenden signing.
I have no problem with any of the incomings.
I have no problem with any of the outgoings.
BUT
We have left ourselves light and there is no way the manager didn't want a couple more. It could have made a real difference and someone has dropped a bollock somewhere let's be honest.

We got the CBS which is the best news in decades honestly and I still expect a good season, but it hinges a lot on keeping players fit and injury free.

Given that the club spent a lot of time trying to recruit Hughes and failing. The communication tonight has been really poor. I wold liken it to buying a ticket to a "Winter Wonderland Theme Park" and finding a muddy field with a pissed up Santa sat smoking a spliff and smelling of piss.

The only concerning aspect is, well, we’re looking lighter.

We’re a few injuries away from threadbare, potentially.

Welcome Luke!

Happy for Raphael to go on loan too. Will follow his development

I'm assuming brau will be vice emc when needed. So we have 4 wingers in current squad.

It's not ideal but overall the clubs in best place since prem days so I'm happy
We have 2 wingers in the squad. Other options are makeshift from other positions.

Two months ago it seemed inconceivable that we'd still have all three of Rudoni, MVE and Wright when the window closed.
We've kept them all, brought in 4 new ones, offloaded a few fringe players and sold a crock for £6.5m.
Meanwhile we're 8 points from 4 games, scoring for fun and bought the CBS.

I'll take that.

Lati can play centre mid as well, doesn't mean he should

Could have done with a bit more cover though.

Sakamoto or Grimes get an injury....
If anyone apart from MVE or Kitch get an injury. We're fucked.
JDS = Bidwell
Thomas = Lati
Sheaf = Allen
Torp = Eccles
Rudi = ????
EMC = Brau
Saka = BTA
Wright = Simms

Thats a HUGE drop off in quality in EVERY position bar RB and LCB. We all just need to cross everything and hope to fuck we dont get more than 1 injury at a time. Swap out 1 player we could manage. 2 or 3 at once and were fucked.

Turner saying no more. Genuinely baffled we’ve let 3 forwards go today without 1 coming in

Waiting for the EFL to ratify it, think their fax machine was jammed for a few hours 😂.

Please stop putting them two in the same injury category. You’ll scare half the forum. Sakamoto will not be injured this season as much. He needed to get wiser and stronger and he’s doing that. But I do worry like you’ve said. So 🤞🏻 🙏🏻

We have brought more than one in.
Since last season that’s 10 out:
Tavares
Bassette
Patterson
Collins
Burroughs
Howley
Sheaf
Rapha
Obikwu
Binks
4 in:
KKH
Brau
Wolfenden
Rushworth
Can still pick up free agents so still time to strengthen. That said if we don’t we are a couple of injuries away from having real depth issues and it’s not been the window we were promised two weeks ago by Doug.
Lots of credit for the purchase of the stadium but to Doug it’s amazing that it’s done. But maybe Austin and the recruitment team maybe need reviewing, we seem to always be scrambling rather than being proactive KKH aside.

Have they?

They clearly had a lot of targets, but if clubs don't want to sell / want too much money / player wants to high wages / player gets offered more elsewhere / gets an offer at a higher level, what are you supposed to do?

Sign the wrong players? Massively overpay?

It's disappointing, and it does feel that we're light, but if you're going for players who are going to take you to the next level, then you have to accept that it's going to be more challenging to sign them.

Well, we all wanted the club to make a statement to the rest of the league in this window, we've certainly done that. That message is injured one or 2 of our players and were fucked!

Onto January, hopefully bring in a couple of reinforcements otherwise players going to be fucked again last couple of months of the season.
