I am confident that Frank is singing from the same sheet as most of us. Another RB in, another LB in, better GK in, Collins out, Bassette out on loan / sold, Binks out, Sheaf going so a new club captain imminent. I am convinced a CB upgrade (maybe 2) and and a new forward is on the way today

Good thing about working from home is i can watch TDD and get progressively more angry throughout the day without the worry of having to pretend to smile

much easier to keep your first team together when there’s no actual bids for them

Ok you could argue that (although I think it's very unlikely), but think about how that situation arises. Either no one bids for our players because they are all shite or we have become the kind of club that controls when players come and go on our own terms. So which do you think it is.

After years and years of being a club that couldn't keep hold of anyone, losing our better players to anyone who could offer them an extra 50p a week we have turned a corner.

Do an EMC style deal for that young CB. If he's as good as what we think he is, than it'll be worth it to get the deal over the line.

Agree and we can cope until Jan with x1 new CB.

still think Hughes deal has a twist yet, be surprised if his heads not turned.

Out - Bassette, Sheaf, Andrews, Obikwu, Bidwell

In - Woolfenden, Hughes, a CM, a winger

Anything less and I'll start supporting Liverpool

Yes it’s frustrating reading multiple bids rejected etc.

Let’s see what’s state of play at 7pm.

but we have to remember it’s just not that easy, calibre of player we are now after, teams don’t want to sell, are waiting on replacing them, agents moving goal posts etc, again yes it’s frustrating at times, but it’s a process, not a quick super market sweep.

Interesting day ahead.

Bah. I don't come here for measured, carefully considered opinions. Off with you, forthwith!

It's 8:30am and we still haven't signed an established England international. King out!

Not sure if I’m nervous or excited today with any possible ins and outs that might happen, all I can hope for, is that at the close of business we end up with a smile on our faces, fingers crossed

I agree. All our other business has been done quietly so the more public pursuit of Hughes must be an effort to get the player himself to force a move.

Indeed, Champions League my arse.

If we wanted to play against "FC Fishing Village" on an early season Tuesday night, we could just join "The Orkneys and Faroe Islands Intermediate League Two" and be done with it.

Sorry you don’t go to games so I don’t value your opinion enough to take seriously. You literally said you would drop Torp for Sheaf and now we are selling Sheaf you say you’ll be happy not replacing him. So by your logic surely we would weaken the team?

Why do people keep saying 'Sheaf replacement'? We have had our best run of results without him in the team and he doesn't seem to fit the current favoured formation. When he has played, its been awkward. Unless people mean replacement as numbers of midfielders which is more realistic, we don't need a direct replacement IMO

I'd take a loan and I think that's why the Rak-Sakyi guy has been mentioned. If Grimes is injured/loses form/needs a break you're relying on Jamie Allen trying to do his best Pirlo impression

Earlier in the window people were saying we had too many CDMs. The squad was unbalanced with CDMs and LBs. If we can sign someone at the right fee for that area, great, but we have other areas to cover first.

Yes its completely boring talk and all hypothetical. He was arguing because I couldnt prove money was there that i was wrong. Despite the fact we bid £10m for a player.

I get that we need someone, but a direct replacement is a no IMO. Its almost like we kept banging on about a Hamer replacement when Gus left. That was sort of OK as we still playing the same formation and needed a player like him. If Sheaf goes, its because he doesn't fit how Frank wants to play and wants something different. Today will be exciting

Recently, an offer came in from the English club Coventry for the Bodø/Glimt stopper, according to TV 2's information.

The offer was flatly rejected by Bodø/Glimt.

In recent weeks, the 20-year-old has had his real breakthrough: In the absence of injuries to, among others, Jostein Gundersen and Haitam Aleesami, the Dane has played a big role, and therefore Glimt has made it clear that selling Nielsen is out of the question now.

Even though Nielsen has only played 332 minutes of Eliteserie football this year, both Bodø/Glimt and foreign clubs are aware of Nielsen's potential.

Several clubs are said to have been involved, including a team from the Netherlands, but the message from Glimt is said to have been crystal clear.
