Ok you could argue that (although I think it's very unlikely), but think about how that situation arises. Either no one bids for our players because they are all shite or we have become the kind of club that controls when players come and go on our own terms. So which do you think it is.much easier to keep your first team together when there’s no actual bids for them
Agree and we can cope until Jan with x1 new CB.Do an EMC style deal for that young CB. If he's as good as what we think he is, than it'll be worth it to get the deal over the line.
Yes it’s frustrating reading multiple bids rejected etc.
Let’s see what’s state of play at 7pm.
but we have to remember it’s just not that easy, calibre of player we are now after, teams don’t want to sell, are waiting on replacing them, agents moving goal posts etc, again yes it’s frustrating at times, but it’s a process, not a quick super market sweep.
Interesting day ahead.
I agree. All our other business has been done quietly so the more public pursuit of Hughes must be an effort to get the player himself to force a move.Agree and we can cope until Jan with x1 new CB.
still think Hughes deal has a twist yet, be surprised if his heads not turned.
This fucking new Champions League that lets about 2 million teams in it is now our latest barrier to overcome.
Sorry you don’t go to games so I don’t value your opinion enough to take seriously. You literally said you would drop Torp for Sheaf and now we are selling Sheaf you say you’ll be happy not replacing him. So by your logic surely we would weaken the team?Get a grip. Get Woolfenden in and we’re fine.
Allen is going nowhereGoing to be a positive day.
Sheaf, Bassette out and some youth out on loan. Possible Allen out
In x2 CBs, CM, winger and striker
Are you always this boring on deadline day ?Sorry you don’t go to games so I don’t value your opinion enough to take seriously. You literally said you would drop Torp for Sheaf and now we are selling Sheaf you say you’ll be happy not replacing him. So by your logic surely we would weaken the team?
Because we're selling himWhy do people keep saying 'Sheaf replacement'?
tell me more about the financial intricacies involved in running a football club, that's really entertainingAre you always this boring on deadline day ?
Why do people keep saying 'Sheaf replacement'? We have had our best run of results without him in the team and he doesn't seem to fit the current favoured formation. When he has played, its been awkward. Unless people mean replacement as numbers of midfielders which is more realistic, we don't need a direct replacement IMO
Earlier in the window people were saying we had too many CDMs. The squad was unbalanced with CDMs and LBs. If we can sign someone at the right fee for that area, great, but we have other areas to cover first. Why do people keep saying 'Sheaf replacement'? Ok Princess DianaFasten your seatbelts
Yes its completely boring talk and all hypothetical. He was arguing because I couldnt prove money was there that i was wrong. Despite the fact we bid £10m for a player.tell me more about the financial intricacies involved in running a football club, that's really entertaining
I get that we need someone, but a direct replacement is a no IMO. Its almost like we kept banging on about a Hamer replacement when Gus left. That was sort of OK as we still playing the same formation and needed a player like him. If Sheaf goes, its because he doesn't fit how Frank wants to play and wants something different. Today will be excitingI'd take a loan and I think that's why the Rak-Sakyi guy has been mentioned. If Grimes is injured/loses form/needs a break you're relying on Jamie Allen trying to do his best Pirlo impression
Just to be boring it was the basics I was asking about .tell me more about the financial intricacies involved in running a football club, that's really entertaining
I read the debate between you, him and Astute. They were trying to pile onto you without actually making any decent pointsYes its completely boring talk and all hypothetical. He was arguing because I couldnt prove money was there that i was wrong. Despite the fact we bid £10m for a player.

Who are we playing?Mad how our whole season could hinge on what happens today isnt it?
It wasn't that and you know it However we move on this morning. I must remember never to question the one person on here who is never wrong.Yes its completely boring talk and all hypothetical. Lamps just shouldn't have given them the day offWho are we playing?
They had literally 0 points. Their points were "KING BOUGHT THE STADIUM NOW SHUT UP AND BE HAPPY"I read the debate between you, him and Astute. They were trying to pile onto you without actually making any decent points
One last blow out then I'm hibernating from here for a few weeks.
