Would be a shame to see Sheaf go, yet unfortunately we’ve been carrying him for last couple of seasons.

When fit & able to play in our system, he was great, focus on the ’when’ and ’was’. Sometimes clubs outgrow players or they need a fresh start, if the reporting figure is correct (might be more) I just hope we can reinvest & get someone through the door to help both now and in the future.

In the grand scheme that’s decent money for a player who hasn't managed 6-8 consecutive games in a while & only offers us a defensive option. Here’s hoping we’ve got plenty of irons in the fire and can bring more in to help us to progress/grow. Could be an exciting end of a window, can’t remember last time that was the case as a Cov fan!

Will always remember his performance away at Sheff W. Pretty much won it for us individually, but those have become very rare from him for sure.

Exactly that, sadly. can’t remember the last game he influenced or made an impact on other than that & the Man Utd game.

Must be plenty of talent that would jump at chance to come to us at current, doubt we’ve ever been a more attractive option. Issue we’ve got is time….

Yeah agreed. The drop from our main midfield three to Eccles and Allen now is worrying. We have to replace him even if with a loan.

Sheaf def done then, wow, that was quick, desperate for the money or already had his replacement lined up ?
Why are you constantly trying to spin the narrative that we have no money?

Considering we have a recruitment team, it would be a monumental failure if they didn’t have an up to date list of realistic possible replacements that we could get in for essentially any player that could leave.
But to activate that with one day to go is a bit scary unless we saw this offer coming
