With Godo off to France and Boving off to Germany, the forward player remains something of a mystery, which is quite exciting.

Or they were the two targets and now we don’t have another forward option coming in…

Quite amused by people saying Woolfenden isn't really an upgrade etc.

Simple question: would he better for us than Binks, the player he would be a direct replacement for?

Almost certainly yes. I will be pleased if we do get him.
I think people are questioning whether he’s an upgrade on Thomas and Kitch, not the squad.

On the few occasions I’ve watched him he would be an upgrade on Thomas.

Woolfenden sounds like Ipswich version of Josh Eccles, does a job when required, came through the academy and been part of a successful team but just lacking an edge at the top level. Hope he does we'll but I'm not convinced about this signing.

Woolfenden's not had a lot of football in the last year. I see him as another L1/lower champ player like a few is out team/squad but that seems to be the market that we're in. Would strengthen the squad.

From the article the Ipswich fan write he sounds like a class act who could have a grimes like effect on us

Wait and see i guess

To bring a slight bit of nuance to the Wolfenden > Hughes debate. The year Ipswich went up they conceded 57 goals with him starting at centre half. Were conceded 58 last year and were defensively ‘frail’

Purely listening to fans you do get that vibe

Woolfeden, Bamford and Jayden Danns on lioan would give us some options and make us a stronger squad. Think we would have to lose someone else to make that fit

Not sure how the player is comparable to Eccles in any way at all tbh

Pretty sure Woolfenden has been a long term target too. We were linked with him when Ipswich went down to L1.
