Ok, so I might be overreacting a bit prematurely as we've still got 48hours to bring players in. But on the flip.side, we've still got 48hours to lose players too.

For weeks now, people have been saying its been a good window. I really hasn't (yet). Its been awful.

People have argued we've strengthened the GK position..... we haven't. Let's be honest. We've swapped out Wilson for another Wilson. Only plus is, we've got 2 Wilsons now, rather than a Wilson and a Collins.

RB. KKH. We've only strengthened there, IF the manager uses him. If he sits on the bench any longer, then instead of strengthening the squad, we couldve just saved ourselves £4m.

LB. Same as, we've now got a 3rd choice LB (that is jumped up to 2nd choice temporarily as our 2nd choice is now 2nd choice CH)

Sold our 2nd Choice CH with, as of yet, no replacement likely.

The other argument is "we've kept our best players"! And..... the group of players that failed last season, are the same group of player we've got and not strengthened or fixed any issues to?

Im hopeful and expectant that DK will deliver. But fuck me, if he doesn't, this has got to go down as the worst transfer window in the clubs history surely?

Worst in our history is a batshit take.

No takers on Lati then? Any other outgoings?
I think his injury put a stop to anything that may have occured. He'd only heard about Bassette which has obviously been coming for a while. Loans for the younger ones trying to be sorted out. There was interest in Bidwell early on in the window from a championship club, it didn't come to anything.

Its gotta be up there? Worst ever is maybe a bit extreme and for dramatic effect, but its got to be up there. At least when we were signing shit like Darius Henderson, we didn't know we were signing shit until he fell over the ball at Posh. At least we were bringing players in. Moving chess pieces around. As it stands were sat holding hoping if we play the same hand as last time it might work out differently.

I can understand to a certain extent. We had a real opportunity this window to strengthen well. So far we have made some OK additions

So basically, you’d feel much more relaxed about the whole thing if we signed a load of unknown players, which you then later on find out are shit?

Who knows maybe the club could still look at another Cb (Pye is avaliable for apparently three million Doug )

I don’t need to. We have spent money to improve the squad depth. Did you forget summers where we signed the likes of Vincenti or Fortune
But we clearly haven't improved the squad depth, or not in the managers eyes at least. He clearly doesn't rate KKH or Brau, otherwise why else are they sat on the bench whilst MVE is having a mare and JDS is blowing out his arsehole? And the keeper situation, let's not even start on that here.

Also, sometimes not doing anything is better than doing something that fucks everything up.

Moving chess pieces around to then lose a game of chess rather than waiting and planning a decent sequence of moves. Instead you want to smash the chess board to bits, set the pieces on fire and eat them?

We are only four games in. Fucking hell. All new players need time to adapt and earn their place. It doesn’t mean Lampard doesn’t rate them 😂. Choose another sport as football clearly isn’t for you

I think giving the new players a decent amount of settling in time is a sensible and patient approach that almost no one on this forum would take, and therefore none of us are football managers / coaches!

Why wouldn't he rate players he's just scouted and bought 😂
