Transfer fees seem to have shot up again right across European leagues especially.Sounds to me like we had committed to spending on Woolfeden & Goddo. Strasbourg have offered silly money so we have decided to go all in for Hughes. I think we end up with Hughes & a prem loan for the forward, we’re at that point in the window where clubs will consider loans for players they wanted to sell - e.g. Sarmiento at Brighton
Seems like perhaps a 3 rd bid of £10 million has been turned down.Sounds to me like we had committed to spending on Woolfeden & Goddo. Be happy with thatTHink we will get 1 and MVE wont leave
Makes the KHH deal look good value for moneyTransfer fees seem to have shot up again right across European leagues especially.
We will add in Brad Collins.
Both very clever and original humour. Hard to find.Give Hull a choice.
£12 million plus £3 million in add-ons or £25 million plus Collins.
Don't think Swansea were under a transfer embargo ,so why sell your best defender when all you can bring in is free transfers.Hull fans thinking this isn't going to happen seem to be completely unaware of the trajectories of both clubs atm.
Time to put these in their place like we did with the Swansea lot still seething about Grimes.
If it happens I’m interested to see how Lampard manages having 3 strong CBs for 2 places, but it’s a good problem to haveHull fans thinking this isn't going to happen seem to be completely unaware of the trajectories of both clubs atm.

Funny people on here seem to know the inner workings of Hull yet the club keep bidding.Don't think Swansea were under a transfer embargo ,so why sell your best defender when all you can bring in is free transfers.
Hughes starts doesn't he. Can play either side so he plays with whoever is performing better at the time I suppose. If it happens I’m interested to see how Lampard manages having 3 strong CBs for 2 places, but it’s a good problem to have

I think he’s going to go Kitching and Hughes. Lampard trusts and seems to really like KitchingIt’ll be Hughes and Thomas I’d expect.

It's not as though Hull can spend the cash to strengthen their squad. So I'd be very surprised if this happens. If it happens I’m interested to see how Lampard manages having 3 strong CBs for 2 places, but it’s a good problem to have
Kitching has been captain for all the league games this season. Suggests he has leadership qualities that are admired within the club.
We know all too well that being late in the window doesn’t stop players going. Money talks and if we offer enough he’s gone. It's not as though Hull can spend the cash to strengthen their squad. So I'd be very surprised if this happens.
Thomas has never been dropped while at the club. It’ll be Kitching.
Yep. And key IF CH starts making noises then it happens, players hold power ultimatelyWe know all too well that being late in the window doesn’t stop players going. Money talks and if we offer enough he’s gone.
No player should expect to get into a good side that's flying especially just after moving to the club. Then it's down to who is playing the best and who is most suited to the opponents. If it happens I’m interested to see how Lampard manages having 3 strong CBs for 2 places, but it’s a good problem to have
What even if we keep shipping poor goals when winning ??Until we lose in the league I wouldn't drop Kitching or Thomas
King isn't going to do anything to put the club in trouble. If we buy him it will be a price the club is comfortable with so don't worry about it. Why develop someone else's player instead? So correct me if I’m wrong but Hughes would become our highest purchase of all time at 12 mil? I would rather we go for loans then break our sensible transfer policy of the last 5 years.
I think the business case for each player is likely to be different so it probably doesn't work that way.I’m probably in a minority of one, but if we do somehow have £12m available, I’d rather spend it on a couple of £4m defenders for strength in depth. Only takes a pulled hamstring and we are back to walking a tightrope for a number of weeks
