As I hate the tw@ and it's not correct Bellamy was 6.5million, not our current record signing, that's Haji Wright. Bloody Sky...

No idea what the Hull bloke is like but I can't remember them being that great when I saw them last season with anyone standing out apart from the GK

Mental after all the doom and gloom. Club clearly has a lot of money but holding it back for quality from the looks of it

I thought Bellamy was £6.5m, wasn't Haji's fee £7m?

And worth it just to not hear that Bellamy was our record signing anymore, then this fucker goes and gets it wrong anyway.

COH left exactly the same way he entered the club - on a free. As a fanbase we even used to boast about this in a chant about him.
He was clearly going to refuse anny new contract and was seldom picked in the starting XI after January by Robins. He started at Wembley as Palmer was suspended.

MVE was signed after King became the owner so can hardly be called a SiSU purchase.

Blasting that much on a 21 year old that picked up 9 yellow cards in 27 games last season. Do we know much about him? Sounds like a massive overspend.

I thought we already set a new club record signing when we signed Wright?

With Bellamy’s fee, I think Sky are going off what Transfermarkt says, which obviously isn’t always a good idea. The club itself has confirmed that Haji Wright is the record signing.

2bf. Theres no point fussing over the fee. The money is there for particular players. They guy has been captain at 19 for Wigan and 21 for hull, there’s obviously something about him

Kitching was captain of Barnsley when we signed him and people have used the fee against him ever since.

If this bloke's the real deal and we can still refresh the frontline somehow, fine. Just seems a big risk to me.

I thought we wanted experience? Look at Fadz, he slowed down but used his brain and knowledge to increase his longevity and responsiblity by years. A young one may have the mouth and potential to be a leader but does that mean he can lead by example when the problem arises?

Well the fact hes been captain at 2 clubs by 21 suggests yes.

Leader, 21, two clubs? Surely if you are that age and you want to be successful the club would fight tooth and nail to keep you.

That’s why if we want him that bad we will have to cough up a lot of dough

It's quite clear what the policy is, buy Young and then sell at a profit, its what we have to do unfortunately.

I like the sound of it. I have faith in Doug and so far Frank. He fits our business model ,it shows ambition without being reckless. I can’t see what’s not to like.

Yeah, not existential risk. I mean more the risk of having someone we can't get money back for or turn a profit on e.g. Simms and Asante, as well as the wage they'd eat up. If he's seriously good and fits how we play, sound.

Wasn’t it Hulls keeper who was awesome against us? None the less - this CB sounds very promising!

The Hull keeper was the m o m against us last season & the keeper we thought at the time , the one to look at .
This lad must have something about him , but whatever happens, their old manager is waiting in the wings , to take him to Blades …… that’s if he left amicably ?

I don't think we have a set transfer budget in the tradition sense.

I think there is money there but it has to be spent in the right way with very little on someone that won't turn a profit like the Grimes signing.

If we identify a player that the brain trust is certain will make a profit there is money there.

He is never going to turn a profit at 40, and besides he’s gone to Ipswich.

dont think its attitude, had mental health issues which hes since realised and worked on. get him in for free, plays well, could sell for a tidy profit too.
