Tbf I agree if you don’t count the players we’ve signed then it is certainly difficult to say we’ve strengthened the squad, yes
You’re asking me if we’ve strengthened the squad, I said the only player so far that looks to have significantly improved the squad since this time last year is Grimes. I don’t feel that KKH is currently an upgrade on Van Ewijk, he might be in the future but atm I’d take Van Ewijk over KKH every day. Brau looks alright but not sure if he’s much of an upgrade on Dasilva, and Rushworth is a space-saver for Dovin. So yeah, apart from Grimes we haven’t significantly improved the team from last season. We just need a quality CB and a quality CF and we’d be set for the season.

He has strengthened the team though, the goalkeeper was the major weak point and it has been sorted. Aside from that we're good to go. I think the expectations on here are silly, Lampard has said time and time again that he likes the squad, some of the bright sparks on here took that to mean at least seven signings.Glad you aren't the manager christ.

With our wage budget we aren't ever going to have a "complete" squad , we will always have to make do in certain areas and prioritize others.Because we didn’t get promoted? The league looks very competitive this year and I can only assume that not strengthening will yield the same result as last year. I get that it’s a long term goal that Doug has in place but I’d have hoped for us to be signing some quality on top of the quality we already have, rather than filling in gaps or injured players.
