Yeah fair, Lampard obvs wants to play that way (and I’m not for one second saying I’m a better manager than FL, clearly not 😂) but I honestly think Haji looks more comfortable out wide and playing him there gives us depth and competition for that LW spot. If we then bought in a quality striker we’d have great depth across the whole front line.
But you’re never going to carry a squad with Wright, BTA, Simms and Bassette for one role. Offload Bassette and Simms then maybe. Otherwise we go as we are.

Exactly my point, I personally think Haji is better on the left which then allows a space for a new ST, whilst also providing competition and depth for the LW spot. If we loan out Bassette and bring in a new ST then we have at least 2 players competing for every spot across the front line, currently we have 1 player for LW, 4 players for ST and 2 for RW. Just seems like an easy decision to play Haji on the left, freeing up space for a new ST and giving depth to the LW.

Without injuries EMC will be in his best position in the left and Wright will be in his best position in the middle with Saka on the right. Rudoni will be playing behind them all waiting for runs into the area.
