I just think we need to move on Simms and BTA, Wright is an entirely different convo, genuinely not sure what to do with him atm, probably keep unless the fee is huge.. It makes sense for 1 of the 2 replacement to be a free as we can't be spunking out on every player. I've seen far more laughable suggestions than McBurnie, although i think i'd still prefer Riis.I think a little and large combination of McBurnie and Adam Armstrong would do really well
McBurnie and Riis would not be a bad couple of signings if we could shift Simms and BTA for £6m+.I just think we need to move on Simms and BTA, Wright is an entirely different convo, genuinely not sure what to do with him atm, probably keep unless the fee is huge.. Yeh i think essentially trading Simms and BTA for Riis and McBurnie and coming out of it £6 million+ up would represent excellent business.McBurnie and Riis would not be a bad couple of signings if we could shift Simms and BTA for £6m+.
forward options of
LW- Wright, EMC
St- Riis, Mcburnie
Rw - Sakamoto, New RW
could be a lot worse.
would allow us to divert funds mainly into a quality 8, New LB, New CB and a backup RB
Also would be big fan of us looking a Lewis O’Brien. Can see us playing more of the 4-3-3 next season where our midfield three almost become vertical.
Think O’Brien would do a great job linking the team together although looks like he might be off to La Liga.
Im sure they wanted to throw the book at Leicester then they got promoted. Lets see what they can hit them with now they are backA telling off knowing the bollockless EFL
He played Right wing last night, and he was effective there, Ramsey was the full back behind himHe's a left back
Our current strike force has scored 10. BtwRiis and McBurnie? Are you serious? the pair of them have only scored 16 goals in the last year!!
Riis scored 12 for a Preston in a relegation battle who struggled for goals this seasonRiis and McBurnie? Are you serious? the pair of them have only scored 16 goals in the last year!!
I dont think so. Wright has scored almost 10 on his ownOur current strike force has scored 10. Btw
Most from the LW with 3 from CFI dont think so. Wright has scored almost 10 on his own
Yes and if you read my post I was suggesting Riis and Mcburnie as replacement for Simms and BTAI dont think so. Wright has scored almost 10 on his own
Wasn’t aware of the violent history, what did he do?Don't we want to aim a bit higher than a clogger like McBurnie (who's a violent scumbag by all accounts) and a striker with a 1 in 4 record at the age of 26 in Riis?
Unfortunately money is finite and making £6m on our forwards and replacing with those two, which means we can funnel money into a game winning number 8, a quality LB and backup for RW and RB which have all been problem areas seems like better business to meDon't we want to aim a bit higher than a clogger like McBurnie (who's a violent scumbag by all accounts) and a striker with a 1 in 4 record at the age of 26 in Riis?
Riis’ record is for a team that notoriously struggles for goals I think in a side that score loads he’d score a lot moreDon't we want to aim a bit higher than a clogger like McBurnie (who's a violent scumbag by all accounts) and a striker with a 1 in 4 record at the age of 26 in Riis?

We'd need to get rid of both left backs before that happened.Heard a whisper about Caleb Wiley
No, he played RWB and Ramsey played RCB.He played Right wing last night, and he was effective there, Ramsey was the full back behind him
Seemed very much RW to me.No, he played RWB and Ramsey played RCB.
He's naturally a LB though.
Any MLS team would want him, but only Atlanta really have the buying power. Don’t see any of the other teams shelling out £20m in transfer fees.Latte Lath went from Boro to Atlanta for 20m+. He has a very similar career record to Wright plus Wright has the premium of being a US international, should a club from the MLS be interested in him.
Lampard did suggest he got some game time a few weeks ago because he wanted to play and worked hard in training. I think it's easier to work with somebody who believes they should be playing than somebody who doesn't care.He is likely to bulk out in the next few years which will allow him to hold off the defenders who are taking the ball from him rather too easily.
My concern is more about whether his temperament and character makes him a bit disagreeable if he is not getting game time.
Under Lampard, we have the highest amount of crosses in the league. This is the same as Lampard at Chelsea and at Derby. As a manager, he wants people to go wide, overlap and get balls into the box. Were patient in not just aimlessly throwing crosses in every second, but take time to get people into the box.Are we all convinced after two games of floating in crosses against Sunderland’s parked bus that the only way we can score goals is if we have two big lumps up front? Surely we want to be a bit more sophisticated than that?
